    Article--The Muppets Reloaded

Could the rules of the German legal system have prompted Disney to back away from an alleged $135 million bid for Henson back in December? Or were those rumors from Allen & Co. as well? And when you say Disney would have had the most to lose if EM.TV went "belly up," would this mean Disney...

    Article--The Muppets Reloaded

So in short, Disney could've done their $70-100 mil deal to buy Jim Henson Co., but they were ultimately overly concerned that EM.TV could've gone bankrupt by July or whenever the deal was finalized?

    Article--The Muppets Reloaded

Ohhhh, that makes sense. Or does it? :smirk: :) Anyway, so that's why, in March, it was said Disney only wanted the characters and the library itself. Now, for EM.TV going "belly up." Does that mean if it went bankrupt or out of business? Either way, if Disney had bought Henson before...

EM.TV to Sell Muppets to Jim Henson's Children for $89 Million

Re: Raisin, I know this was 23 days ago but...NO DUHHHHH. I'm on the mailing list too, that's why I said "let's try to break the record and make it to 200." And that is all I wanted to say. :)

    Article--The Muppets Reloaded

Once again, I know WHAT happened. But what does it MEAN exactly? How come it was a risky deal for #2 U.S. media group Disney, but Classic Media was nearing an agreement-in-principle and the Henson kids got it in the blink of an eye?

    Is Kermit Love still around?

Yes, I had thought he had passed away as well. Fortunately, that seems to be false. Was Willy the old guy with the white beard and hat on SS who's usually selling things?

If I were to mail Brian Henson...

Re: The addresses to write to for JHC are located here: Hope you're right. I'll send my letter-sized envelope to Hollywood and see what happens.

If I were to mail Brian Henson...

It's just a letter with questions, comments, and more comments. I just want to send it to whichever office will take a letter to Brian Henson.

If I were to mail Brian Henson...

If I were to mail Brian Henson, which office do I send it to? Should I mail it to JHC's La Brea headquarters in Hollywood or should l use the NY address for "Performers & Muppets?" And if I were to mail another senior Henson official, I would mail it "Whoever c/o The Jim Henson Company" then...

    A $100 sayz ...

I'll settle for the first part, but the last part would just be creepy.

Oh why didn't I just set the VCR? It sounded great.

New series, Animal Jam debuts February 24

I've only seen the show twice, but it's the one Henson show I've seen that I can confidently say is CRAP. It's truly awful in my own humble opinion. They should've just revived "Jim Henson's Animal Show with Stinky and Jake" or SOMETHING. The elephant, whatever his name is, is cool though.

HEY! I have a GOOD question or suggestion...

Yes, we must be sensitive to the many 5-year-olds on the group. That'd be weird, wouldn't it? :p And just in case anyone's interested, I'm a guy.

Labyrinth in Top 20 Children's Films

Yes, I almost bought the "Labyrinth" soundtrack. Before we moved we went to a CD store to get music for the road. I had the soundtrack right in my hand, something I've wanted for years. But in the end, I got more mainstream music from Avril Lavigne, No Doubt, and Chevelle. I'll probably never...

Caroll Spinney on CBS Sunday Morning

Man, it's a rare occasion when we (or I at least) actually know in advance when there's a Muppet appearance on a morning news show. Usually it's minutes before it starts!

    Mr. Rogers tribute on SNL

I also heard Fred Rogers thought Eddie Murphy's "Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood" sketches from SNL were funny as well. It's cool that he was a good sport.

    A $100 sayz ...

EM.TV will not sell the Muppets this "planet." Hmm, the judge might have to look at that one. I should've made a bet when I said Disney would not buy the Muppets.
