Sesame Workshop to develop new channel with Comcast, HIT

Actually it was Henson that had a 12.5% stake in Noggin, which was sold by EM.TV along with the Sesame Street characters. Noggin was started as a joint venture between Nickelodeon and the then-Children's Television Workshop. But man, this is some amazing news. Even more weird with the...

    Disney's Muppet site updated

Uhh, it's in one of the many threads about the Henson auction at the old MC Delphi forum and it was made in the summer of '01. So I'll have to check it out and get back to you on that. Unless Jamie (FrogBoy, wherever he is) can provide the pic here.

    Disney's Muppet site updated

I know FrogBoy made a pic of Kermit with the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" hat on the old Delphi Forum in 2001. Very cute; it's in my wallpaper file.

    Disney's Muppet site updated

    >>Just think, whenever they release complete season DVD sets of "The Muppet Show", they might replace the JH television logos at the end with Walt Disney Television, or something like that.<< Well, I hope they don't do that. They could put the JH TV logo, followed by the Disney logo if they...

It's Official: Disney completes Muppet acquisition

    >>And -- speaking of cutting -- wait 'til you hear about the deal that Henson had to cut with Disney in order to keep Kermit's image as part of their company logo. Because the Frog is now the Mouse's property, lawyers for the Jim Henson Company allegedly had to get a special clause added to the...

Tiny Planets in Play With Me Sesame's timeslot

Does anybody get Boomerang? Before we moved here, we had Time Warner Cable, no Boomerang. Here, with Charter Cable, no Boomerang. In Atlanta, also Charter Cable, no Boomerang. I don't know how much I'd actually watch the channel, but I'd at least think I'd HAVE it. And since Cartoon Network...

What Disney is getting from Henson...

Well I know Disney didn't get them from Henson. TMM and GMC yes, and Henson's "ownership" or stakes, you can say in the others, according to Mr. Spelich, but not complete ownership.

What Disney is getting from Henson...

On the other hand, TMTM is owned by Sony.

What Disney is getting from Henson...

I doubt just because Disney owns the character that Henson has to erase Kermit's appearances at the beginning and the end of Christmas Toy and Emmet Otter. I could be wrong, but that just seems unlikely. Sesame Workshop might as well cut Kermit appearances off Sesame Street when they rerun...
