    The Muppets 50th Anniversary

In 1955 "Sam and Friends" began airing on WRC-TV, Washington DC. And 2005 will be the 50th anniversary of Jim Henson's career in filmed puppetry. From a 2005 marketing standpoint the birthday of the marketable Muppets' by any company would probally not be celebrated until some other point in...

    TMS DVD Campaign needs you!

We agree too. I just added The Jim Henson Hour ("Muppet Central" Segments) to the poll. We didn't want to have every Henson show ever on there but at a second look we agree that The JHH was overlooked by our staff. It is now up and avalible to vote for. Thanks for the feedback.

Confusion at the end of Muppets Take Manhattan

No, just their hands got married. ;)

    Muppets Tonight DVDs

I think if the Muppet Show DVD do not tank, The Muppet Holding Company would strongly consider doing a compleate series DVD box set of Muppets Tonight after they finish with season 5 of the Muppet Show.

    TMS DVD Campaign needs you!

The "Get Muppet TV on DVD" movement is still working hard to get the studios to release best DVDs possible for The Muppet Show and Muppets Tonight. In the future we plan to expand to new Henson/Muppet shows once we have sucess in the directions we are working now. The campaign site launched...

First Muppet Wizard of Oz Photo!

Kermit has the same head, and the same old spikey collar too. His hands look like he has gloves on and some staw coming out the end of the sleave. He's a frog scarecrow, instead of the traditional human scarecrow.

    ABC Radio

On ABC Radio, and American Broadcast Radio Station, they will be playing Christmas music on special dates and time (as part of the Christmas Special Programaing), classic Muppet Christmas music may pop up once or twice during these blocks of holiday music. There's no new recording planed to air...

Muppet Show DVD season box sets announced

By unedited we hope for the compleate episodes as seen on TV, plus the "UK skits" included and the original opening for the episodes (the old season 1 style opening for season 1 episodes). This is totally possible for them to do. And I hope they do it.

Any possibility of releasing copy of TV Movie?

That was another special "John Denver and the Muppets: Rocky Mountain Holiday". I agree that "A Christmas Together" should be released on DVD, maybe The Muppet Holding Company will work on a release in time for the 2005 christmas season. There were rumors it was on a "to do" list of theirs but...

The Muppets in the year 2005.

In one month 2004 will be over; and we will be in the year 2005. As I look at it now, 2005 already is looking up to be a great year for the Muppets and the other Henson projects. Below is a list of some of the things 2005 will offer the Muppet community. This is by no means a compleate list of...

Where do they keep the real Muppet puppets?

Yes when transporting and moving the puppets they go in some heavy duty cases to protect them, they are not always the nicest on the outside, but they do the job. It would be a shame if something were to damage them in trasport to a location, set, or event.

    New Wizard of Oz rumor...

This does not mean it is the Muppet Theater. There could be a scene that takes place outside of a theatre (anytype of theater), and it might not even be part of the plot, just a building in the background. It might be a movie theater and have a "muppet movie" opening where the Muppets...

Muppet Show DVD season box sets announced

I agree, Jim and Frank were a great comic team. I think the work the two of them could do together was amazing. I mean come one, just look at the Swedish Chef; one character, two performers working in perfect comedic step. I think Dave Goelz and Steve Whitmire are the "new" comic team of the...

    Weird Email!!!

It is a common e-mail scam. I get that same one (or one like it) on a daily basis. It has been going on for decades, even before e-mail; people would send actual letters saying the same exact thing. The scarry thing is people actuall think it's real and do it.

Where do they keep the real Muppet puppets?

A few of the "old" puppets are in archives, but for the most part the puppets are recycled to make new ones or they just fall apart from age. There are not wearhouses upon wearhouses of perfectly compleated puppets. They are kept around the Henson shops for work and when needed are shipped out...

Where do they keep the real Muppet puppets?

The deal with Disney and Sesame Workshop encludes the rights to the characters and productions but the actual puppets are still provided by the Jim Henson Creature Shop and Muppet Workshop. Henson still builds the puppets for Sesame; and Disney does not have a workshop creating the Muppets they...

Muppets' Wizard of Oz cast list

Since the release of Muppets From Space, Frank has been fading himself out of the Muppets to concentrate on his interest to direct and produce. He has handed his characters (both Muppets and Sesame St.) to other performers; mainily Eric Jacobson (Piggy, Fozzie, Animal, Grover, and more). If you...
