See, I kinda thought that someone else did the puppeteering and voice, and then Frank's voice was looped over it later, taking the old one out. Was that ever done?
And Jonathan, while he wasn't in the "Some Enchanted Evening" number, the guest star was Avery Schreiber.
David "Gorgon Heap"...
Two things:
1) Twiddlebug has never outright said that he's Jerry Nelson, even though he's all but said it. Until he comes out and says it, we should respect his right to privacy by using his preferred address.
2) I vaguely recall trying to send him a PM, and I think he had opted to leave...
At first when I read it, I thought it said that Harry gets stepped on by the rabbits. But either way, that's the way to do it.
The opening theme bits were just right, opening number and corresponding backstage bit with Gonzo & Beautiful Day worked well, all the songs worked well, Wayne &...
TSF, you've got just about all of my fanfics in there, save for Jerry Orbach and the 3 I did with guests who had died prior to TMS. You've even got two that I haven't finished, Redbone and Ritter (those ones are gonna be a while, unfortunately). Can I take that as a compliment?
As far as who...
Hmm, dat's a possibility. That or his first act, the poem, in the bedroom set w/Gonzo & Muppy just like in the Twiggy episode (and opening, at that).

I know that it was the 'food' puppet from SNL (kinda looked like a floppy brown pinecone with eyes). I think it was from "You Can't Do That Without a Hat" and the creature scared Boober. Can anyone else confirm?
I understand totally. For the first time in my life, I've been finding myself...
Frank did voice DogLion in the animal protection drive sketch with Dom DeLuise, but maybe that was just the voice.
I'm sorry to say I don't know what flat feet refers to exactly, whether it's an expression or a condition.
I just realized, through re-reading this thread, that I asked you...
Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. Of course, not every third season guest had a James Coco level of involvement, either- Leo Sayer, Roy Clark, Pearl Bailey, Liberace, Marisa Berenson, Helen Reddy, and Cheryl Ladd didn't appear backstage either, save for the dressing room. But I also don't have...
They did two versions for the show, one was mostly blue and purple (as seen on Nickelodeon), the other yellow and black (as seen on "Children's Songs and Stories with the Muppets"). The live version on TOTP had a red background.
I've always preferred the yellow and black, myself- it has a...
Lyrics to Dan's songs:
"Heart Hotels" (this one will be scattered with details of how I imagine the number):
(Curtain opens, music begins. Start on a shot of a lonely desert highway. Move down the road as a lone car drives past a little hotel sitting alone in the desert. Begin slow...
Finally found the lyrics to this song online. Gonna put in the chorus girl backing vocals (in parentheses).
"Style", music & lyrics by Stephen Schwartz:
David Ogden Stiers:
(Spoken)
As I was saying to my dear old friend, Rex Reed, the other day
To succeed
You don't want brains or...
Haven't been online as much in the last couple of weeks, been pretty busy.
I'm actually battling a cold right now- heck of a way to spend a birthday, no?- but at least it keeps me home from work.
I'm still working on some more outlines, it's just very sporadic and very slow going.
Thanks all...
But then the number wouldn't be Alice with only monsters as was befitting the Halloween theme.
I don't quite understand. I've heard of phoenixes but is their legend a strictly Japanese one?
I like the joke, I really do, but I think the number worked best as it was, cutting off after...
If they're blending well enough, then yes, that's correct. I sing in two competing barbershop quartets and a chorus and have been singing in choirs my whole life, so I've learned a lot about blend.
Often, though, you could hear the guest star's voice- Roger Moore, Sylvester Stallone, etc...
Were there ever any puppets you had to perform whose appearance grossed you out? There were a lot of bizarre, very different-looking creatures on FR compared to anything before or since for that matter.

"Beast of Bluerock" has a moment that never ceases to amaze me. When Wembley meets up with Gobo at Bluerock and Gobo finds that he lacks the nerve to break the rock and face the beast, he says "I'm a failure. I've let you down, I've let everybody down". Wembley pauses...
Did Wembley's eyes work in a similar fashion? We've been trying to figure his eyes out for ages, although I did see once that his eyes aren't perfect spheres but rather are missing at least a small part of the back, probably the point that the eyes rotated on.

Well, sometimes it takes more than 5 1/2 hours to get a response. Especially when there are only one or two registered members in the forum at a given time. Sometimes it takes more than a day. Sometimes it takes a few days. Point is, sit back and relax, and don't take it personally if it...
Ever heard of the word 'patience'?
I don't find this scene in keeping with Kermit's character. Kermit never screamed at people for interrupting his introductions, nor did he ever boast about how exciting his introductions were, nor did he ever get that carried away about a guest star's...
