I actually haven't had DD donuts in a long time. Coffee, yes. Donuts, no. Krispy Kreme, however, have a sign in the window when donuts just come out of the oven. There is one local outfit in Pennsylvania that's as good as DD used to be. They're called Curry Donuts. They're cheaper than DD...

Another thing that's a crying shame- there's a Dunkin Donuts near me, and every night they throw out the stale donuts. Nearby is a homeless shelter, but they can't give them away. If some homeless guy gets sick they can sue. Breaks my heart seeing all those donuts going to waste.

I can eat lamb again. Not with mint jelly, butane Easter a lady at our church made lamb chops and they were really good. True story. Way back in ancient times when I was three, my dad had a friend we called Uncle George. Uncle George had a big tract of farm land, and my dad would go out and...

It's funny. One man's meat is another man's poison. I used to work in a kitchen with mostly Filipinos (I was the Token White Guy). They loved octopus, but same with you, didn't taste like like much, but I didn't like the rubbery texture. One time they made this spicy noodle dish which was quite...

I'll definitely pray for your brother. If he thinks he might do better in finance, by all means pursue it. Maybe a full time opening will turn up. But don't quit teaching until he secures something else.A teaching job still might open up, probably when he least expects it. I really don't believe...

There used to be a restaurant near me that specialized in exotic meats. Bison (very lean but dry), venison (a little too gamely), ostrich, and alligator. Alligator tastes like chicken. And not to waste them, someone will get a pair of boots out of the deal.

Halloween is just around the corner

Maybe because candy corn has such a weird texture. I don't hate it, but I'm not a fan either. Tastes like wax. I do like honey sticks though. Little straws of honey laced with different flavors. They're not the easiest thing to find, but they come in various flavors like lime, root beer, cotton...

I hardly touch pork anymore. I like bacon, sausage, and hot dogs made from turkey. Ham is too salty (Virginia ham, forget it!) but I still like Taylor ham and BBQ ribs.

I never liked fluorescent lights. In rehearsal rooms I practiced in, when you have a bunch of electric guitars and amps plugged in, the radiation from the lights causes an annoying hum.

Downtown Disney does have a retro arcade full of the games you mentioned. In the evolution of video games, PAC Man was the big game-changer. Before most games like Space Invaders and Asteroids were based on how well you can shoot. Pac Man changed all that. And any arcade (or Pizza place, bowling...

At least you save on cards having Canadian Thanksgiving falling on Columbus Day. Or is it Indigenous Day now? There's a movement afoot to eliminate Columbus Day, sincepeople feel he was a genocidal racist. A lot of people on the island of Hispaniola (which is divided between the Dominican...

Actually, there is a New York specialty called the egg cream. At least two episodes of Sesame Street have been devoted to this subject: once in 1979 when James Earl Jones comes to visit (flush with success from the first Star Wars movie) and in 1983 when David tries to recreate Mr. Hooper's...

    Have you met any celebrities?

I LOVE Yellow Submarine. Great film to put on late at night. The same artists who made Yellow Submarine also did a Beatles cartoon series on Saturday morning. During its last season, the cartoons were getting pretty psychedelic and gave a hint of what would come with Submarine. Good stuff. No...

No, no carbonation. But it does create a lot of bubbles when you shake it up. Shake for a good minute creates this light, frothy chocolate foam. That's why I wondered if the rest of the country has Yoo-hoo or is it a regional thing.

I remember when this song was brand new. Men At Work were Australia's Next Big Thing. Their next album, Cargo, was even better.
