Why hasn't this direct-to-video Clifford's Fun With... series been released on DVD or iTunes?

Before there were videos, there were books. Try them sometime. It might take a little effort on your part to actually READ rather than staring passively at a screen. To their advantage, books tend to stay in print longer than videos.

Why is the Richard Scarry's Best Videos Ever series out of print?

Yes, I’m aware of the videos you mentioned. Why are they out of print? I can’t say why. Maybe contractual stipulations with Scarry’s estate. If you’re lucky enough to see them listed on Amazon or eBay, grab them.

Why is the Richard Scarry's Best Videos Ever series out of print?

I was too old to watch the videos, but as a child in the early 70’s, I had a ton of Richard Scarry BOOKS. I’m very familiar with Huckle, Lowly Worm, Babykins . Officer Murphy, The Three Beggars, and all the rest. The books were published since the late 50s. Some might be out of print, but can...

That used to be Big Bird in Season One. Caroll Spinney would be the first to admit Bird was this, dumb, ugly moron that didn’t know which way was up. I went through a phase, like many my age, that hated Elmo. His obnoxious laugh, the fact so much of the show was dedicated to him, and to a degree...

Happy 4th everyone. Because of Covid, a lot of nearby towns cancelled their fireworks. That’s not stopping people in the neighborhood from shooting stuff off. Just as the sun set, all the whiz-bangs went off in every direction. A lot of bottle rockets, but a few professional ones too. Pretty...

The Classic Electric Company Memories Thread

Did he? I had no idea. Outside of The Electric Company, the only other place I saw him was an episode of Good Times. He played a bully, and John Amos gave him an epic beating. Back in the days when parents did that. Legally.

The Classic Electric Company Memories Thread

The only other Short Circus member who passed away was Gregg Burge (Dwayne). He was on in Season 3 replacing Douglas Grant. I was four when Denise Nickerson joined and fell hard for her. It was too bad she only lasted one season.

I remember this as sure as I’m sure as I’m sitting here. The magic of chroma-key. So cute with both Jim Boyds sleeping with their teddy bears. Neat stuff!

    COVID-19 Coronavirus News and Updates

Democrat mayors and governors seemed to turn a blind eye to the looters and rioters not wearing masks. But then again, they were “mostly” peaceful protesters. That will be my excuse if I ever beat my wife or burn a Target down. “Well, judge, I was MOSTLY peaceful the day I beat her up. And I...

    Carl Reiner Dead at 98

Exactly. It’s hard to feel sad for someone who almost makes it to 100. I remember him especially on the Dick Van Dyke Show, and a cameo in “The Jerk”, which he directed. At least Mel Brooks is still kicking.

I think the closest Charles and Margaret came to a romantic interlude, was when he read poetry to her and she got hot, or stuffing their faces with the canned pheasant(which made them both sick). Canned beer good. Canned bird bad.

    The Nostalgia Thread

Since the 80’s the evolution of video games really took off. In the early 80’s, Atari ruled the universe. But in passing years, I’ve seen Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and X-boxes come and go. Has anyone ever played pinball? Pinball machines have been around since the Thirties, but they hit a big...

    Dealbreaker TV Characters

I can still understand a little where Winchester came from. He had a nice cushy gig in Tokyo and Colonel Baldwin screwed him over. Charles was like Frank, in the exchange of old scrip for new, he was trying to make a big profit. So in a lot of episodes when he was mean, stingy, or selfish to...

Charles Winchester did not break M*A*S*H. He filled a useful role to be a foil against Hawkeye and BJ. Overall I think he was a better character than Frank Burns, who was just a sniveling mess. In time, Winchester even joined Hawkeye and BJ in their practical jokes, which Frank could never do.

Splash Mountain to be rethemed to a Princess And The Frog attraction

That’s the one I have. It has little wheels on the bottom. The details are pretty neat on characters that small.

Splash Mountain to be rethemed to a Princess And The Frog attraction

The Princess and the Frog was noteworthy for being the last 2D animation Disney ever produced. It was okay, but it wasn’t a milestone on the order of Aladdin or the Lion King. It turns out Disney was looking to revamp the ride for the past year, so it wasn’t a knee-jerk reaction to current...

Splash Mountain to be rethemed to a Princess And The Frog attraction

The only reference Splash Mountain had to “Song of the South”, was in the queue, you heard “Zip-a-dee Doo-Dah”. There might’ve been images on the wall of Brer Fox, Brer Bear, and Brer Rabbit, but certainly no Tar Baby.

Yes. 1976 I was in third grade. I was familiar with Kermit from Sesame Street. But Piggy, Fozzie, and the rest were all new. It’s amazing to think, in the beginning, Jim practically had to beg people to guest on the show. After a while, being a guest was the highest honor. Yes, I was a devout...

I was nine when the Elton John episode aired. That was a big fat hairy deal to get a name THAT BIG. I’ll always have a soft spot for “Goodbye Yelliw Brick Road”.
