    RIP Donald Trump Presidency

Right. It’s not like playing Sore Loser, but it does question why so many mail -in ballots were collected so early and counted so late. Keeping poll watchers distant and covering up the windows so people can’t see would send up red flags. Especially in the states where the votes are most...

Jeopardy! Says Good-Bye to Alex Trebek

I was around when one of his first game shows, High Rollers, was a hit in 1975 (I had the home version). In the early 80s he also hosted a game show called Pitfall, which he never got paid for. For a time, he also hosted Classic Concentration . So Alex, I’ll remember you for more than just...

    What made you angry today?

Around here, you don’t have to worry about donating stuff. Any kind of furniture, no matter the condition. Put a sign on it that says FREE and by the next day it will be gone. I got rid of a couch, lamps, and an old dining room set that way.

    RIP Donald Trump Presidency

And in at least two states, Trump’s lawsuits are not frivolous. In Arizona and Nevada, two separate counters sent affidavits saying there were a number of ballots where signatures didn’t match, addresses weren’t valid, etc. And Pennsylvania has had a long history of ballot tampering. Right now...

    RIP Donald Trump Presidency

Some of you might be too young to remember 2000 with Al Gore demanding a recount in Florida. It didn’t help, but it was within his right to do so.

I was fortunate to meet Caroll and Noel as well. The closest I ever got to Steve, Fran Brill thought I was his Evil Twin.

The new What Made You Smile Today thread

Back in the 2000s, I was in a band called The Revs. I played bass, my pastor played guitar, one of our elders played drums, and another priest played lead guitar. The priest’s church had a huge hall with a big stage. You could fit a thousand people. we were together for three years. We got to...

For you meeting voice actors is like me meeting musicians. It is a thrill. You meet your heroes, and you hope some of their talent will rub off on you. 🙂

@Old Thunder, you can appreciate this. 50 years of Black Sabbath. There have been loud bands before (Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple),even American bands that could have invented heavy metal (Steppenwolf, Blue Cheer), but Ozzy and friends really brought something new. They made it quite clear-...

    When you need to rant...

If you can’t get anywhere with the landlord, it’s within your rights to call the police. Especially at night. 30 years ago, I was in a band and we were practicing in the drummer’s garage. We used to record our rehearsals, as well as our shows. one spring Saturday afternoon, the garage door was...

    Questions about anything

Has this ever happened to you? You bump into someone you haven’t seen in a long time. They come up “Hey! How you doing!” And you draw a total blank who it is. They remember your name, but you have no idea who this person is. It’s embarrassing, they greet you like a long lost brother, and you...

    Prayer Requests

I’ll give a better example. God forgave David even after sleeping with Bathsheeba and having Uriah killed. So two commandments broken/ adultery and murder. David deserved to go to 773H. But God still forgave him, and God would’ve forgiven him sooner if David came to Him instead of hiding in...

    Prayer Requests

Everybody gives in to sin. It’s human nature. It goes all the way back to Adam and Eve. That’s why Jesus died for our sins. You’ll still sin every day just like me. The thing is, if you knew you did something wrong, you pray for forgiveness, then move on. The problem is most people screw up...

    Any Closing Logos Fans?

Unfortunately 4D didn’t have a very long shelf life, apart from Barney Miller and its spinoff, Fish.

    Any Closing Logos Fans?

No. MTM was either short for Mary Tyler Moore, or the T stood for Grant Tinker, her husband, who was a big network executive for NBC. Either way, the kitten was adorable.

    Any Closing Logos Fans?

Too many to count. But two from the 70s: MTM with the kitten (Mary Tyler Moore, Rhoda, Lou Grant, WKRP in Cincinnati, etc.) At first I thought it was a spoof of the MGM lion. And the PBS logo 1971-1984. So much of my childhood right here. At least five times a day hearing those ten seconds of...
