    Jim Henson poll on IMDB

Well my first exposure to The Muppet Show was actually Nickelodeon so perhaps it does makes sense. ::shrugs:: I'm surprised too, everyone I know loves or at least is familiar with Muppet Babies, even if they're not Muppet people.

    Your Thoughts: A MC Christmas

Sounds like a plan! Yay! :halo:

You might be an obsessed Muppet fan if...

Haha, good one! How true that is. :insatiable: ...If you're making a strategic plan to "casually" bring up the topic of the Fraggle Rock box set to one of your relatives for Thanksgiving, hehe. ;)

    The RHLC!

Good luck with everything, Sara! Yup, if you watched SS in the '80s, you didn't realize how many sketches were 10 years old at that point, it's quite incredible! I always remember Forgetful Jones and Placido Flamingo, they were regulars. And that "Numberella" sketch I mentioned awhile back...

    The RHLC!

Oh cool! Yeah I'd forgotten until recently that it was on in the morning and afternoon ("arvo", I love that! hehe). I remember because I used to see it in the morning, and then again at my friend's house at night. (So if I was scared of something on the show that morning, I knew I'd have to see...

New Emmett Otter Jug-Band Christmas DVD

Honestly I bought the special in 2005 anyway, and was still very moved and enjoyed it. Cutting out Kermit wasn't the best news, but the special is still lovely and deserves to be seen. :)

    Janice

Yeah she's not just a Valley Girl, she's also of the Hippie Flower Child persuasion. They probably felt both of their main girls couldn't be conceited divas, that wouldn't be right (and Piggy wouldn't stand for it!).

Britney Spears' Return (New Album and Interview Special)

That's true, people lose themselves when they consider themselves just an image to uphold. Experts have said the best way to keep out of trouble as a child star is good parents, and a lot of luck.

Britney Spears' Return (New Album and Interview Special)

There were child stars in the '80s and before who screwed up though, it's not an entirely recent thing. The media just enjoys exposing it more. Whereas in the past, it was the standard to hide it. Well I shouldn't be naive, hehe. I do things are getting worse. Less and less sense of...

Weinstein rolls with Fraggle Rock movie

It's a "remake" in that it's a reinterpretation of a classic show that was on years ago. It obviously can't be completely the same. I guess the correct word would be revisting. Follow That Bird was made while Sesame Street was on the air and not a reinterpretation. And I agree, there's nothing...

    The RHLC!

Oh well that's good at least that's something. Hopefully your income will go up in time, that's the biggest headache, hehe. Btw, just curious did you see any of Sesame Street as a kid?

Weinstein rolls with Fraggle Rock movie

I'm not a big fan of modern movies, I tend to prefer older ones. But thankfully there are still times when I can be pleasantly surprised. :)

Britney Spears' Return (New Album and Interview Special)

Oh true, people need to take responsibility for their own actions of course. Our children are paying the price for our own immaturity in our society. I am disturbed though that how some actors who have had and continue to have problems are invited back into the business time and time again...

    The RHLC!

Yeah I don't really understand how it's done outside the US. But it often seems to be unequal which is annoying, heh. It would be great if this means Scooter or Janice can start making more frequent appearances. And hopefully the productions themselves will not disapoint. ;)

Weinstein rolls with Fraggle Rock movie

Yeah you know again I doubt many of those people even actually watched the show much. The Internet is filled with people who are bored and just enjoy talking mean about random things.

What sketches scared you as a kid?

Well I was only afraid of clowns for like 2 seconds as a kid, that quickly went away. And I progressed to stranger fears like Gumby (no I'm not kidding!) Yeah I can see that, and the way the bats sort of popped up from nowhere. Something about crude animation sometimes comes across a...

Weinstein rolls with Fraggle Rock movie

Hehe, good point. :) I think it's OK to be a little wary. As Redsonga said, remakes don't have strong track records, particularly with older TV shows. But as Frogboy says, you can't be all negative because you may miss out on the fun if it turns out well. :)

Britney Spears' Return (New Album and Interview Special)

Well I mean, there's been critiques on his parenting too. I don't really know for sure what happened obviously, but I personally wouldn't give Brittany all the scolding. We don't know what these people go through. Not saying I pity the poor celebrities, but they are surrounded by people who...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

What's ironic is the sketch was supposed to show kids that clowns are really people to, and there's no need to be afraid. But for some kids it seemed to have the opposite effect, lol. Now, I was always relieved to see the guy's real face at the end, but that didn't stop me from being freaked out...
