    Rumor: Abby gets own segment

You never know the future before it happens. And things change if people make them. ;)

    Rumor: Abby gets own segment

And there's no reason the youngsters can't see older clips. They showed '70s clips when it was the '80s and no one complained. Kids don't change that much, they still appreciate quality. ;) And an anniversary really should recognize the past, and not just talk about the future. There's no...

    Kermit's Swamp Years

I will concure that Care Bears should not be compared to the Teletubbies, hehe. The Care Bears really tried to have the decent, even mature message of "we care about everyone, even when they don't care about us." Teletubbies sold toys, period. (Yes Care Bears sold toys too, but like I said...

    The RHLC!

Great present, Sara, see you never know! ;) I had to share this, I noticed a site somewhere was briefly discussing the Steve Martin episode of the Muppet Show, and a user made this comment: LOL ;)

I probably shouldn't even be talking since I haven't seen KSY, lol. ;)

    Kermit's Swamp Years

Yeah like I said, Charles Grodin's performance was a bit off beat as well. I think when we say serious, we just mean that they act more like real movie people (heh) than cartoon characters. :)

    Kermit's Swamp Years

Yeah I'm more on that page too. I like when the human actors take the story (and therefore the Muppets) seriously. Of course there has to be something slightly off about it as well (as was the case with Charles Grodin's protrayl, hehe. I mean that as a compliment. ;) ).

Your Thoughts: Letters to Santa Teaser On-line

Wow, nice compilation! :) And just to be balanced, I will say I'd love to open my door one night and discover the Muppets had come to keep me company, hehe. :) And I still like the clip of the choreographer saying to Piggy, "But you're not even in the scene!" Lol

Your Thoughts: Letters to Santa Teaser On-line

That's great, I'm always trying to expose my friends to Muppet stuff (even when they're not interested! Hehe). It's just that Muppets fans like some Muppet projects better than others. They still enjoy the Muppet as a whole. :)

Your Thoughts: Letters to Santa Teaser On-line

Well I meant was that it was only secular Christmas songs (as good as they are) and nothing spiritual, which the Muppets (and society) weren't afraid to mention in years past. I don't know why we can't have both anymore, that's all. No no, I hope so too. Though it's not about being right or...

Your Thoughts: Letters to Santa Teaser On-line

I get you, that would be great and very appropriate and I hope you're right. :) Honestly, I guess I'm partially just tired of how Christmas has become overly secular. I mean the John Denver Christmas album from years ago mentions the spiritual aspects of Christmas (not just for Christians but...

Your Thoughts: Letters to Santa Teaser On-line

No problem, nit picking is fine, hehe. You're right, they were mailing letters for kids, thanks for pointing that out. I guess another thing that struck me as childish is them being shocked that one of their gang didn't believe in Santa. Again the vibe felt like Santa is the most important part...

New Sesame Street Live Show! Elmo's Green Thumb!

Glad you had a good time! I do want to say though, it is typically illegal to film at shows and even though a lot of people do it, you never know, you could be the one caught that time. It's not worth it.

A Muppets Family Christmas on DVD

No not really, it's frustrating that so many other specials are available (when they don't need to be heh), but Muppet Family Christmas isn't.

    The RHLC!

Btw did anyone see these shots of the new Muppet Show comic book, complete with little go-fer moments: http://toughpigs.com/uploaded_images/tp2-753055.JPG http://toughpigs.com/uploaded_images/tp3-774386.JPG I think the first one is very much in the classic Muppet humor. And I love how in...

Your Thoughts: Letters to Santa Teaser On-line

Yeah definitely. :) And it is wrong to assume something based on isolated clips either way. We really need to see the whole thing in context. In the end, it's fine if some people like it and if some people don't. :)

Your Thoughts: Letters to Santa Teaser On-line

The only way I can think to explain it is even Bert and Ernie bought each other their presents rather than waiting for Santa. Because they were intended to be a bit more grown up than say Big Bird, who waited for Santa. The Muppet Show characters are more like Bert and Ernie than Big Bird in...

25th Anniversary Follow That Bird Edition!

Yeah I know that would be the best! Well, from a fan's pov, the film was a huge deal of course. But maybe for the actors it was just one of the many big events in 40 years. ::shrugs:: :)
