    Robin in "Letters to Santa"

I agree Muppet Babies is sort of an alternate reality thing, not meant to be canon. The Muppets aren't about being canon anyway.

    The RHLC!

Just wanted to share the poem that was read in the 1947 Christmas classic movie The Bishop's Wife. It's called "The Empty Stocking" and the last part sort of reminds of the last part of Richard's speech at Jim's memorial. :) "Tonight I want to tell you the story of the empty stocking. Once...

Tis' the Season...For Cookies & Presents!

I just finished watching the 1947 Christmas movie classic The Bishop's Wife. Just wanted to share the poem that's read at the end, it's just really sweet. Hope you enjoy. :) "Tonight I want to tell you the story of the empty stocking. Once upon a midnight clear there was a child's cry, a...

    The RHLC!

That's good that the special got good ratings! I still think it was too watered down, hehe. But hopefully it will help attract new audiences. :) Snowing pretty bad today, pretty much had to stay indoors except for taking my puppy for a walk. He was born in the Summer and this is his first...

Your Thoughts: Muppets Letters to Santa

I get what you're saying. Personally I just think it's a comment on society in general. In the '70s women's lib was very big and a strong, spunky, humorously (but harmlessly) overbearing female like Miss Piggy was very fashionable. Nowadays, pop culture likes to bring women down and make them...

Your Thoughts: Muppets Letters to Santa

I have to say in response I do love a ton of other Christmas specials, including ones with Santa. But I like ones that appeal to all ages. This one was good but not as multi layered as others have been. That's all. :) And about the mob thing, the Mafia is made up of serious criminals. To be an...

Your Thoughts: Muppets Letters to Santa

I understand, I mean I don't think it will ever be as good as it once was. If something's classic, by its nature it can't be easily repeated. If it could, it wouldn't be as special. :)

Your Thoughts: Muppets Letters to Santa

I did like that very much. It's an inspiration; it's never too late to make things right if you care. :) And I did like the "What happened at the post office" bit with Fozzie, lol.

Your Thoughts: Muppets Letters to Santa

It looks like most people are saying it was good, could have been better but had some nice moments. Definitely wasn't their worst nightmare. ;)

Your Thoughts: Muppets Letters to Santa

Well I have to grip about the mob stuff, I'm just sick of seeing it on Television, period. It doesn't feel like all in good fun anymore in general.

Haha, well yes, lol. Still, sometimes I do enjoy having all the songs easily found, like in an ipod. ;)

Your Thoughts: Muppets Letters to Santa

I also agree here; it was watered down as I said earlier. And as the NYTimes critic said, there wasn't much in the way of satire (which I think even kids can appreciate). But it wasn't horrible. Again, I hope they keep trying. :)

Your Thoughts: Muppets Letters to Santa

I think you have it right; sentimentality was there, now they need more chaos. I hope they will keep trying. :)

    The RHLC!

I do think he did a good job. In the past, Scooter's just been in the back ground, saying very little or nothing at all. The Scooter is VMMC had some good lines but a little too updated for me. The Scooter is MWoO had a spot on perfect voice and personality, but none of the characters were...

Your Thoughts: Muppets Letters to Santa

I do agree, it's clear David knew the mannerisms and attitude, very close to the real thing. Scooter had the appropriate attitude toward Kermit and even did the classic "That's great!" arm gesture, hehe. I think David captured the enthusiasm and youthfulness very well. ;)

Your Thoughts: Muppets Letters to Santa

Well...hmm...ok. I mean, every great entertainers go through their initial period of being edgy and appealing to all ages. Then eventually, inevitably, they get watered down. This has happened to the Muppets, it was just that time. I found the special very sweet, but targeted mainly at children...

25th Anniversary Follow That Bird Edition!

Aw hehe don't feel bad. I do wish when companies do that, that they provide some kind of extra material. Featurette is usually a good word to hear (as is the case with this FtB DVD, hehe).

    Mystery Science Theater 3000

I like both guys but I guess I was introduced to Mike first so I enjoy him more, lol. I do think the guys laugh at each other's jokes more in the Mike era. Though my friend (also a big fan) said it was because Joel was more like a father figure to them (since he was their creator and all) while...
