Sesame Street at the Daytime Emmy Awards

Heh, I agree, I don't think her little show has contributed much to society. ;)

Pre-Order Fraggle Season 4 DVD Boxset

That's a really nice idea! I donated my season sets to my old Pre school a few months ago. The kids need to experience Fraggles! : D

Pre-Order Fraggle Season 4 DVD Boxset

If a separate season 4 DVD can be released, I'll believe anything is possible! Lol, maybe not soon, but eventually. ;)

Sesame "Muppet Diplomacy" in the news

I don't think those kids who were playing in the construction area needed to be told it was "wrong." They were forced to play in dangerous areas like that because they lived in poverty. There was no other place for them to go. They weren't committing any crimes. Except the crime of being poor...

    The RHLC!

Nice to hear from you, Nekoshema! Same here, when I realized he had died, I listened to the Muppets differently. When I heared Scooter in "Saying Goodbye" I suddenly realized there was a person behind the character. It was very moving. :) If you haven't seen it, there's this site for paying...

Some people are so closed minded

Yeah my friends and I are kinda like that now with Spongebob, lol. Couldn't stand the Teletubbies, but I won't judge since I didn't like it when people did it to me. ;)

Some people are so closed minded

Hehe, well you know it reminds me of when I was in 5th grade and a guy came to our school to encourage us to read more. He told everyone to go home that night and read one book and report back the next day. I'm a big Star Trek fan and at the time I was actually reading an old copy of Leonard...

Sesame "Muppet Diplomacy" in the news

In Sesame Street Old School Vol. 1. Though I should have said "construction site." Plus a couple of the early show openings showed kids playing with junk on the street. It's a fact of life for many inner city kids that they have to play in potentially dangerous areas. It was perfectly logical to...

    Most Touching Muppet Moments

Muppets Take Manhattan pretty much has the monopoly on touching moments, hehe. One of my favorite moments has always been when Kermit's reading Scooter's letter and you hear "Together Again" in the background. "Have you sold the show yet? Have you heard from the gang?" ;)

Sesame "Muppet Diplomacy" in the news

I will say I find their discomfort at showing kids playing in a junk yard disapointing. And the fact that they've made the showing generally more suburban and less inner city. Poverty in America will not suddenly stop just because Sesame Street stops showing it. And "slums" may not be a pretty...

    The RHLC!

Good question, a lot of young people liked Lord of the Rings in the '60s and '70s. It would have been very appropriate to see Scooter with a copy (though he might have used it as an excuse to get out of Muppet Show duties, hehe). "Sorry Kermit, but I'm only up to page 93!" ;)
