That's exactly what I assumed, since it was mentioned. I'd be all for it but I really don't know. Here's what the puppet is going to look like to a degree: http://www.flickr.com/photos/33190275@N07/3362303300/in/photostream/, I'm not a fan of the gold fur as it seems to dark for me to showcase a...
Gotta halt the thread to ramble about this same subject.
YES! I am so disappointed the Looney Tunes have fallen off the face of the earth thanks to Looney Tunes: Back in Action (a film that, as mediocre as it is, should have gotten better care at the box-office). As mentioned in the thread...
Interesting. Thankfully, since the puppet is going to be a monster any color can go. I'm going to wait to see what other colors everyone suggests before I come to a complete decision... and besides, what fur colors Russ has is going to play a part in this as well.
I'm surprised that no one mentioned Greg the Bunny yet. My family and I were huge fans of Greg the Bunny when it was on FOX during it's short reign. It deserved a lot more credit than FOX gave it.
No love for Rechov Sumsum? I really think Kippi and Moishe Oofnik are two of the most developed Muppets of the co-productions. Then again, we as a US audience have spent a bit more time with them than the other co-production characters.
I hold a lot of nostalgia for Plaza Sesamo. Watched it all...
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, and I've also posted this question on Yahoo Answers but can't change it to make it more specific, but perhaps somebody can help an artistically-challenged puppeteer out here.
I'm in the planning stages of getting a new puppet character to go...
I've seen Rechov Sumsum/Shalom Sesame shirts online for sale in the US and I snapped up a Pancho plushie when I went to the Strong Museum in 2001. But that's all I've seen.
That might have been part of the joke, notice Koch's line is already kind of shows him as dumbfounded. But I can only imagine what a big reaction that scene got in theaters in 1984. And hey, it's not like jokes in other movies have aged worse (Try watching Shrek now).
They also have some SST costumes as well

The Oscar one is pretty well-done but $85 is an insane price. Cookie and Elmo are kind of "meh" but I could...
I'll admit I'm a closeted VeggieTales fan myself but here's the thing: By the time Jonah came out, VeggieTales was well past it's peak in the huge popularity the franchise had the late 90's (I know by the time Jonah came out, I was past my VeggieTales stage and had moved on to The Simpsons and...

I know what I'm doing for Halloween this year now. :)
I was thinking about this. According to Box Office Mojo MFSmade only $16.6 million and EIG only made $11.6 million. Just for comparison Thomas and the Magic Railroad made $15.9 million, Barney's Great Adventure made $12.2 million playing in a lot less theaters than EIG and Doug's 1st Movie made...
It should be. It's become a staple of my high school's freshmen English classes. I never saw the film personally but I know freshmen English classes use it. When I was in 9th grade, our teacher gave us a choice between the 1996 Romeo + Juliet or the then-current Tristan and Isolde (a sappy chick...
2 questions for Jim!
Can we ever except a fourth volume in the Muppet-written self-help book collection or is that series finished?
Do you have a favorite sequence from something you've written that just didn't end up making the finished cut of whatever production that may be?
