I have to admit I had wondered the same thing myself.
But bottom line, it's not only because of the hooking up image. People decide they don't like something, they don't like something. They don't need a reason.
Well that's a sort of standard plot device: "Create a conflict where there previously was none in order to give a character an important scene." Lol

Exactly! I mean it was basically trying to rewrite history. And frankly it's not like it made the 2003 turtles look any good. They just got annoying the way they kept scolding the other turtles, lol.
You're lucky. Our theater had these 8 year olds that literally walked around the theater isles (and in and out of the theater) for the ENTIRE movie! I mean seriously, that's how kids get kidnapped in public places.

OK, for once I'm surprised at the negativity here, lol. I mean the whole point of the movie was that even if they didn't technically reach their goal, the important thing is that they tried. Plus they still had a ton of fans...
I honestly don't know if it's on DVD; I'd have to do some more research. I saw the episode at The Paley Center for Media, which is in Los Angeles and New York.
As the old saying goes, "The wheels of justice grind slow but exceedingly fine." When the Twilight movies are over they will meet a new friend called "movie franchise oblivion." ;)
For The Muppets to get to 2nd at all, especially in front of those other kids movies is an accomplishment.
