It's definitely more normal to see gay characters (or Reality people)on TV now which is great. Though I do hope they eventually move past the stereotyping because that is really getting old. Not every gay man acts like Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and not every lesbian is an overbearing...
That's another good point. Sometimes a story is supposed to end at a specific point and trying to continue it in a series is just anti climatic.
This isn't exactly the same thing but the original V mini series had a very satisfying ending. But then they had to go make a weekly TV series and you...
Yeah I have mixed feelings about that, lol. I mean I'm all for protesting a bill that's too broad and will likely be ineffective. But I'm not going to cry over Wikipedia going black; it's never been that reliable anyway! ;)
Yeah some of that just depends on the budget the TV series gets. It's just never going to look as impressive as a movie. And you often don't have the same writers as the film so the characters seem off.

There were a handful of moments when the movie worked, but then they'd just give up and go for the cheap laugh again. Plus the Who's being all materialistic completely missed the point of the original story.
The original cartoon was such a masterpiece. This remake trends just keeps annoying me...
If you think there's a demand, you put it in the advertising, regardless of whether it reflects the actual movie. The documentary The World According to Sesame Street has Bert and Ernie on the cover even though it has pretty much nothing to do with them.
In any case I thought his cameo was...
Well you're absolutely right, if people know something like that is going on around them and are in a position to do something, it is wrong to turn a blind eye. My sympathies to you, I hope you are able to get out of that situation.
At some point though other people have to stop being so important to our own peace of mind.
Some people are never going to change. But I don't want to let their stubbornness cheat me out of my happiness. I've always been very adamant about that.
