TV Alert: Kids Choice Awards 2012 on March 31

Most parents just don't put that much thought into exposing their kids to quality. That was true even when I was a kid.

TV Alert: Kids Choice Awards 2012 on March 31

I'm not surprised or anything. It just takes me back to my childhood in school where you were ostracized and teased for enjoying quality while everyone else in your class enjoyed nonsense. It's that sort of clique mentality that most kid's TV represents and encourages.

Why does everyone overreact to bad swings in entertainment?

As long as they're not, you know, poisoning children! People thought it was so great to have toys from Wal Mart at such low prices. But you get exactly what you pay for...

    1980s Polaroid Commercials

I know, I do miss the old commercial jingles. It's annoying hearing 5o different commercials using the same tired pop song, lol.

Why does everyone overreact to bad swings in entertainment?

I see sweatshops as just as big a form of evil and oppression as stealing or prostitution.

    America Dumbs Down

Well I won't get into a back and forth on this, that's definitely off topic, hehe. I'll just say I don't think it was that off topic and again, if it bothers me, I move on. End of story. :)

    Best Kermit and Piggy Scene

I guess the way I see it, very few of us really "deserve" the love of another. We're just very fortunate if someone loves us despite our flaws.

    America Dumbs Down

You're right, there are certainly worse things than Reality tripe. At the same time the dumbing down of the Arts in this country is something that bothers me deeply.

No offense but we don't have to read things we don't agree with. We can just ignore them. It's not necessary to tell someone to stop posting. ;)

My Justin Bieber Rant and Rave

The problem we have collectively allowed our popular culture to go down the toilet in recent years and will have very little left that's worth preserving in the future, IMO. We get exactly what we ask for and no more.

Your Thoughts: The Muppets on Blu-ray and DVD

The book version of the movie has a photo of Gonzo talking to Kermit in the wedding scene and the text says he reveals that the guy really was a minister and they're really married. They might have planned that originally but then opted to make the ending more ambiguous instead.
