As others have said before I got the impression he just wasn't that familiar with the characters, which makes sense since this was only Season 2 and Season 1 had to struggle a bit to get noticed.
True but it's worth it just to hear Richard Hunt laughing, lol.
First just let me say I love...
Oh wow, you too??? Lol, seriously I got in trouble in Kindergarten because they were singing that song in music class, it scared me and I started crying, lol.
I know a ton of people who are in love with this movie and I'm glad they have it in their life...but I'm just not one of them, lol. It's a nice kid's movie, but it does not feel like a Muppet movie. It feels too childish to make me want to watch it at Christmas (Even Bear in the Big Blue House's...
I mean I hate to pick on the song, I get that it's supposed to be sweet and touching. It's just not the message I would have chosen. To me I would have told the kid to go home and be with his mom instead of worrying that she'll look pretty for Jesus (who just wants to see you, not your shoes)...
Seriously though sometimes it is true. It seems insane but some people who bully do feel hurt if they think you don't like them.
The reason they bully in the first place is because they have faulty social skills, lol.
I always remember an episode where Big Bird goes to the grown up's party but is annoyed that there's no games or party favors so he leaves in a huff, lol.
I like Tim Burton mainly when he has original ideas. When he remakes other people's work I'm often disappointed. The only exception being his Batman films. I'll take them over Dark Knight any day, hehe.
Sometimes being nice can work but it really depends on the person and situation. A girl was constantly picking on me in High School but one day when I defended her against other people's teasing she really appreciated it and we were fine after that. Some bullies do just have this weird frame of...
Lol, yeah. I mean I can understand where the "K rule" came from but that doesn't mean it's always going to fit every situation. And the more you try to explain a joke, the less funny it gets, lol.
For some bullies it's true, not all obviously. In general I do think some bullies are people who have been bullied themselves, either at home or school. Bullying doesn't encourage empathy. Some people get so bitter they want others to feel as badly as they do.
Well not that I'm defending the song because I don't like it either, lol, but I think it's more that God inspired the boy to seek a gift for his mom.
There, I'm done defending, lol.
My family did try watching it back in the day but quickly turned it off; it just didn't hold our attention. It didn't feel Muppety for me, though I really wanted to like it. I loved the Muppets so it was disapointing. Maybe given time it could have worked itself out, it does happen.
