"The Muppets" Teaser Trailer in US Theaters

If Piggy was in Paris, Fozzie in Reno, and Animal in an LA rehab for madness... They should have had Crazy Harry at some Islamic Jihadist training camp in tribal Pakistan, then gotten rejected for being too "extreme"

"The Muppets" Teaser Trailer in US Theaters

"get ready for Muppet domination"...indeed. I had forgotten that was the tagline, and what a fitting tagline that is. 2011 absolutely NEEDS to be pure and total Muppet domination. As Muppet fans, we've been kept down too long...every freaking other fandom has had their modern spotlight...

Minor Muppets you'd like to see in the new movie?

Who from photos, the trailer, and description seems like he'll be featured quite a bit with the main gang

Minor Muppets you'd like to see in the new movie?

My worry is that Segal was so focused on the "classic" aspect of the film, that he was completely unaware to feature newer characters like Pepe, Carl, etc. the fact Pepe is nowhere to be seen with the Muppet Movie bothers me.

    Any Big Mean Carl fans?

I'm so hoping Carl is in the new movie! I seem to have the uncanny ability to randomly find oddball Muppet pictures and videos, usually by chance

Oh I remember that Jerry Stiller film. I oddly enough ran into and met Lloyd Kauffman, totally reminded me of Mel Brooks. This was at Wondercon this year. Indie animated films...well, theres a TON of foreign stop motion and animated films that come out. stop motion: a town called panic...

Scooter as well. It seems to me, from the teaser and what I've read that both Scooter and Thog are featured prominently. I like how they're taking slightly more obscure TMS characters like Thog and Uncle Deadly and giving them more starring roles I just want to see just how deep down the...

"The Muppets" Teaser Trailer in US Theaters

Hopefully they don't withhold the trailer toooo long. I can't remember any trailer withheld for too long. I remember that was the case in late 1998 with Meet Joe Black, for people to see the attached Phantom Menace trailer

"The Muppets" Teaser Trailer in US Theaters

Man I wish MCD would do Muppets toys. I just can't wait for the deluge of stuff. Aw, I totally forgot about Free Comic Book Day, first time Ive missed it in a decade. You know, maybe the whole holding back til late may to start promoting was a smart move by Disney. they are the kings of...

"The Muppets" Teaser Trailer in US Theaters

Given the goldfish memory of the public, I think you're right. This isn't the same as election year cycle media blitzing.

Yes, comedies are 90 minutes...that's been the staple for others. Though Bridesmaids, one of the more "smarter" post apatow films is over 2 hours. Many family and kid's movies are 90 minutes, and it sucks many of those are forced into a tight 90 minute pattern. However, many films are 2 hours or...

"The Muppets" Teaser Trailer in US Theaters

Oh that would be interesting, they still do that here and there with the Potter films, Indy 4, LOTR. I'm sure Hobbit 1 and 2 will have that. I'm surprised they never had a teaser last year, with something more vague...like Kermit's art holding up a hand written sign that said "2011". I think...

I just saw Will Ferrel in "Everything Must Go" at the movies, and I find actors who mostly do mainstream comedic turns(Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, Robin Williams) are a thousand times better doing dramatic roles. There's been a slightly better attempt at trying to bring thinking and elements...

Just to counteract two points: 1. Many movies are longer than ever, and the trend began with LOTR. Pirates 4 was about 2 hours 20. Watchmen and plenty other recent movies were quite long, as well as Dark Knight(what was that, 3 hours? And every single minute was visionarily magical) 2...

"The Muppets" Teaser Trailer in US Theaters

    1. I personally am not a big fan of the poster, but realize it was a necessary poster. Disney isn't messing around, they aren't being cutesy or smarmy(the smurfs posters make me want to vomit as does the trailer) They're saying the Muppets are back, and this isn't some cash-in nostalgic thing...

Yep, pretty much See Jamie, I can still understand why there are still doubters and unbelievers. Afterall, you can't blame them. We've been down this "fool me once" road so many times, this Boy Who Cried Animatronic Wolf scenario... But when people see the teaser trailer, they'll know...

    "The Muppets" Teaser Poster

Yes, I saw Pirates 4 mostly to see this trailer(what can I say, I consider myself one of the world's biggest JH/Muppet fans), but thankfully the passes were free...as even in 3D Pirates of the Carribean was rather tedious and lacking any coherent sense of urgency. That said, the teaser was...

"The Muppets" Teaser Trailer in US Theaters

I can imagine. Deep down I think everyone is a Muppet fan...least everyone has a favorite Muppet. In fact, this trailer is going to shock people...as most assumed the Muppets were dead. Also more shocking: this isn't a cgi over live action revival fan. Disney is counting on this to bring out...

Is that true? Eesh, I don't know a soul gullible enough to pay high dollar for absolutely unhealthy garbage. I once got a free popcorn as points a few years ago, and wanted to vomit afterwards. See, there is a kind of Pavlovian response we as humans initiate when it comes to the psychological...

Yeah let me be perfectly clear on here: I've never snuck into a movie theater without paying. I do believe that to be dishonest. And I like your idea of a movie buffet. I've gone to film fests where it's kind of like that. As a kid, I sometimes would sit after seeing a film until the next...
