Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I think Jason's script could have been merged with this classic idea. Both have similarities, yet (rumor has it that) it took several pages for an actual Muppet to show up in Jason's screenplay.
I signed. No offense to Artie personally, but his Kermit is stiff and void of charisma. Bring Steve back. This New Kermit is like New Coke -it's terrible and best forgotten before damage is done to the brand.
I'm really not digging this Shmermit the Forg. This is a characature of Jim's Kermit, but without wit or fluidity. Fail. Bring Steve back. If we can't have Steve for some reason then they need to find a better fit than this. I'd say the most depressing thing about it is the way Artie's hand...
I can't fault Artie. He's a good guy and if I were talented enough to puppeteer and was given this sort of shot - I would take it. Most of us would.
Artie's Kermit doesnt have the right facial expressions, movements or voice of any Kermit I've seen. I find it jarring and obvious, but maybe...
Psssst. It has already been implied that the clothes will be loosely stitched in for easy removal.
It's not a mistake made by the company to do it this way due to the fact that it would be cost prohibitive to purchase the additional doll license for removable clothes. Posers of this sort are...
The meizu M8 sounds superior to the iPhone and my Palm. I just got a Palm Pre through Sprint. I like it so far.
It's smaller and slightly thicker than an iPhone. It also doesn't come with monolithic Apple or AT&T. That was the deal breaker. People really feel safe with their chosen phone...
That is a very kind review.
This Gonzo is one of my favorite Muppet items, but not a 10/10 right out of the box IMHO. However, once I fixed the wandering eyes (easy to do) he's gotten pretty darn close to that. :concern:
I supported MR by purchasing Gonzo from them for the full SRP of...
We've all witnessed the myriad of different Piggy designs recently. Some good, some...well...nothing to write home about.
We've also heard that Disney is in the process of revising some of the character puppets during this new push. That information was recently shared by EFX in their...
That is a good question. Jim was the leader of the Muppets and now that he's gone such decisions aren't really made.
I really don't feel comfortable speculating too much, but it is my belief he would have lent his talents and Muppets to raise money for the victims of 9/11 and Katrina. He'd...
That's the buzz. The "Cheapest" title is funnier so maybe they just went with that. It's the word "Movie" that I'm most responding to, but we keep hearing this. I hope the time and expense of the riverboat translates into some Disney-doing!
There's the Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made created as an idea by Jim Henson when Gonzo blows the movie budget on the opening credits resulting in the remainder of the film being shot in the same back lot clumsily redressed to look like different locations around the world.
Then there's the...
Kermit
Kermit is most well-known by the public as an original cast member of Sesame Street in November of 1969. Let's round that to 1970 for the sake of having a nice round number to deal with. That results in Jim Henson having more than a solid 20 years as mainstream character Kermit the Frog...
