Old Piece of Toast Sells for $450

Wow. That toast thing is pretty gross. What fans won't do... I have a friend who went to Maine and ate at a restaurant Stephen King frequents. She is a huge fan of his, and as they were leaving she pocketed the silverware. She said who knows, he could have eaten off of it at some point! :p Erin

    Jimi Hendrix's Muffins!

LOL!!! That's great! Well, I'm a huge Simon and Garfunkel fan, and one of their songs, "Punky's Dilemma," contains the line "I wish I was an English muffin 'bout to make the most out of a toaster." Now that's an interesting picture... :p Erin

    Samantha and Darren are Confirmed!

LOL!! Actually, whenever I think of that sketch I think of Jim Carrey. Even though he just did it once, the night he hosted, it's the skit I always think of. He was hilarious; I loved the screwy suave face he made when they were standing in the bar. :p Erin

    Daddy Dear Moment!

Aw, that's such a sweet story! :halo: It's interesting how reactions to music can run in the family. I have pretty much the exact same taste in music as my parents. I wonder if our first reactions were the same for some songs. Probably! I bet my reaction to "Bridge Over Troubled Water" was...

Kermit Parody on Saturday Night Live

LOL!! I remember that snippet of conversation. Cracked me up! :p Erin

What CD's are you looking forward to getting?

By the way, I think your Kermit jedi icon is very cool. :) Erin

What CD's are you looking forward to getting?

I listened to the CD a couple more times since I posted, and it is continuing to grow on me. I think my least favorite tracks are Touch and I Survived You; interestingly, I've read many reviews listing those as the favorites. I guess they're the edgiest, and I'm just not a very edgy person...

The Pope Celebrates 25th Year Tomorrow

I am not Roman Catholic, but Pope John Paul II is among the people in this world whom I esteem most highly. I think his wisdom and compassion have done amazing things during his time as Pope, and I think there's plenty of reason to celebrate tomorrow. I missed most of Good Morning America's...

    New movies coming out...

I actually quite liked the first movie. Of course, I generally don't hold out much hope for direct-to-video sequels... Erin

    Has anyone ever tried...

You know, I could *swear* that I know somebody from Paducah, KY, but I can't for the life of me think who... Erin

What CD's are you looking forward to getting?

To be perfectly honest, although I've anticipated it for half a year, I wasn't crazy about Clay's album the first time I listened to it. I've listened to it a couple more times, though, and it's starting to grow on me. The trouble is that Invisible is pretty indicative of the style of the...

    Sesame Street Character Test

I saw the movie, but I never noticed that either. (Of course, whether I "saw" it is in contention, since I had a popcorn bag shielding my eyes throughout most of the movie...) :p Erin

What CD's are you looking forward to getting?

Well, I didn't think there was anything going on in Erie as far as release parties went, but I happened to stop by Media Play today and say that they were opening at 11:55 tonight for this release and a couple others. So I set up my VCR to tape Clay on Leno and my mom and I headed to Media Play...

Kid's Programming that Makes You Want to Question Life Itself

Do you mean like church programs and such? I've seen some good and bad there. In my church we often don't do anything because we have so few kids, or at least so few kids who we know we can count on to show up for practices. The biggest thing production we did in the 15 or so years I've been...

    Sesame Street Character Test

Man! Practically everybody is coming out Elmo! Me too... I wouldn't really think of myself as Elmo, probably Kermit out of the five, but I guess I can live with it. (My brother tells me I would have been Bert.) Ah, well... :) Erin

Kid's Programming that Makes You Want to Question Life Itself

Just checking out some of the older posts on this thread, and I have to agree! This song totally cracks me up. It's interesting, on the video this appears in, Sonny Bono's face shows up during the inkblot test, but between that video and the first Sing-along, Bono died so they switched to a...

Kid's Programming that Makes You Want to Question Life Itself

I agree that Jesus probably didn't look like that, but He's been depicted that way in artwork for centuries. I guess wherever people are coming from, they probably figure Jesus looks like their ideal vision of a man. I kinda like those statues myself, just because they show Jesus as being...
