Those don't really show the tone of the film given they don't really allow any real scenes to transpire. The trailers make it look really ADHD, jump edit crazy...but the clips I've seen all have a more mellow, low key tone akin to a lot of independent comedies I enjoy.
Oh heh, while I enjoyed...
It's funny when Kermit says he's 56...Im like, was he a tadpole on Sam and Friends? He's in his 70's then. But to be fair, should we be applying cartoon age(Bart, the eternal 10 year old) or real world age? Some characters seem to grow more complex. Piggy certainly became more beautiful(she...
Europe and Australia got some pretty cool Muppets From Space fast food toys if I recall. But it seems like the days of cool Muppet/JHC related fast food toys are lone gone sadly
Maybe smaller or alternate versions of whatnots are going to be delivered to the store? At this point any Muppet event is exciting, since it doesn't look like Disney parks will do anything official
A few clips ain't gonna hurt anything. Besides isnt anyone curious about the tone of the film? We have gleaned nothing from the teasers and trailers as far as pacing, feel, tone. These short 30 second clips kind of show what the actual film is like
Thanks for compiling all the clips...well that was certainly, surreal. It had been so long since I watched WWE, had no idea how completely changed the whole format and demographic was. For what it's worth, that was pretty darn Muppety. The whole Beaker thing was pretty cool. Piggy looked as...
Video stores, arcades, book stores, and Ricky Martin's career still existed! I always get a kick out of seeing ancient threads revived. Would be funny to see some of the 1998-2001 threads from the old MC Delphi forums again
@Dr tooth:
1. Yeah I couldnt get into Will And Grace. For far too long it felt like gay men were portrayed as these kind of judgemental snip-snap charactatures. While Ellen and the very gay friendly Roseanne treated gay people as normal characters, Hollywood in the 90's only wanted stereotypes...
Well there you go, Glee which is very gay friendly yet wildly popular amongst many American families. I think by now most people, even churchgoers, kind of just chuckle at the fundamentalist attitude on gays. Israel, which has long been a very religious conservative nation and still is in some...
Well that and the other clip are both very interesting...as it has this strange kind of indie vibe I wasn't expecting after only knowing of the footage from the trailers. I'm half expecting Philp Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti and Steve Buschemi to have a cameo. the clip to me that really stands...
Oh like other people, I was merely speculating even before the film began principal if there would be any sort of nods to Muppet blogs or fansites, after it was learned that the story would center around a "Muppet obsessed" character. It's pure meta-genius, but it seemed vexing to me that those...
I remember in 2002 on here, I joked how they should have an indie comedy or rom-com that just so happened to have Pepe in it or another Muppet. No weird angle, just treat him as an actual person
Seeing these wonderful actual scene clips of Gary and Walter, methinks they should have cut an entirely different trailer as their scenes together have an almost indie comedy vibe to it.
Well let me take that back...not only are some of the Muppets definitely not asexual, some are hyper sexual. I've seen Pepe say so many over the top(and sometimes, over the line) sexual or skirt chasing lines(like in the From the Balcony weekly series)
Animal too in the real world would be...
Modern Family, which to me is a family friendly yet hilarious show, prominently features a gay couple and their suburban gay culture. Yet, there's not a hint of controversy around it. I think a decade ago, when you had a number of gay themed family shows pop up(like John Goodman in Norman Ohio)...
We're not talking Palisades style. **** I wouldnt even buy them if they were like Palisades...Ive sold or given away most my Palisades toys. Im talking both PVC sets(as Disney does for every single film they release) as well as
this 4" style
Why did Gforce deserve a ton of figures, pvcs...
Rango was visionary. Yeah didnt see any Rango merch. Again proves my point: truly special cgi/kids films for people like you and me doesnt get squat.
Least Robots got some cool merch, the ONLY Fox animated film I like.
There's still hope for a MvA show? There was a pilot? I liked the halloween...
Rubber bands? Vinylmations(repainted mickey figures that have already been out awhile), Icing/Clair'es type tween jewelry...sorry that is not the merch we should be expecting. There needs to be action figures, pvc sets, a plethora of plushes in different sizes, all sorts of books/activity books...
