    Muppet King Arthur

I just ordered the comic along with a block of Trade Paperbacks for the Muppets that I've been meaning to get. Can't wait. I've also decided to only get one cover each in the regularly released comics and then collect the TPBs (not the hard cover) in an effort to cut expenses. That way I...

Your Thoughts: Kermit and Miss Piggy on America's Got Talent

I think this thread popped up again because, on the MuppetCast, Steve confirmed that it was Disney's experiment with a replacement Kermit performer and not his availability that resulted in the two Steve-less Kermit appearances. The matter has been resolved and he's stated that it's Disney's...

MTV finally takes "Music" out of name

You Tube and the instant gratification of the internet in the area of music made MTV obsolete a long time ago, but that doesn’t mean they can find a way to keep it a music television network. It’s now a useless brand with reality programming. They don’t even have cool animation anymore. M stands...

Bert and Ernie Gay Rumor: Settled

It has been stated on this thread that the tee-shirt is official merchandise. It seems pretty gay to me and I've seen similar official types of cheeky designs in San Francisco stores. There's a definite product strategy from SW. I agree that the Muppets mean many things to many people. Why...

Packaged Palisades Sesame Figures on eBay

Crummy movie tie-in figures only sell well at time of release. It's a cynical marketing ploy. Why make them better if you don't have to? Stores like Wal-Mart (and specifically Wal-Mart) encourage such cheapness in quality. There are so many ways that particular chain taints quality items and...

New Muppets Video: Beaker Sings "Dust in the Wind"

Was Robin dubbed in those too? That's such a weird find. I never knew of it. Very heavily Richard Hunt too. But no Beaker in it. Weird. I could tell Lew wasn't Jerry.

New Muppets Video: Beaker Sings "Dust in the Wind"

If that is truly Rudman, he gets my vote for Jerry's Fraggle Rock characters if Nelson passes the torch. He has a very similar tonal quality.

New Muppets Video: Beaker Sings "Dust in the Wind"

I think the Muppet brand is so used to the fact that most people aren't paying attention so it's been okay to repeat bits. Now that the world is watching it's about being on-the-ball. I loved this clip, but I hope they'll focus on the other characters now.

Bert and Ernie Gay Rumor: Settled

It's also why I wasn't disturbed by his alternate universe cage dancing in VMX. He's the energetic young Muppet with a lot of stuff going on. ;) I've missed that character. He holds the fort at the Muppet Theater and is a major factor missing from the characters' dynamic. Clifford, Pepe...

New Muppets Video: Beaker Sings "Dust in the Wind"

This was already addressed by Steve and Steve in the most recent MuppetCast. They're not going to be making more of those that aren't already in-the-can. They don't want to go stale either. However, this was such a wonderful clip. Love it!   (Beaker) (1/2 Beaker) (4.5 Beakers)

    Miramax For Sale

Disney has placed Miramax on the market and the Weinstein’s, originators of the company, are among the companies eying the sale. This means something to Muppet fans because of Disney's new focus on being a heavily branded company with its own Disney, Marvel, Muppets and Pixar labels. Miramax is...

Bert and Ernie Gay Rumor: Settled

Exactly. I actually enjoy the ambiguities in Scooter. Most people don’t think about it, but he’s the Muppet that reveals less than the others. What does he do when he’s not at the theater? It’s harder to guess with him and I enjoy that. It's also how he keeps the upper hand.

Bert and Ernie Gay Rumor: Settled

I follow. Still, Scooter was based on Richard Hunt's own personality. I still don't think they need to change anything with Scooter that hasn't been done already for the same reasons that I wouldn't want him to become a lady's man like Pepe. Scooter works great as is. ;)

Bert and Ernie Gay Rumor: Settled

Scooter, Howard and Ernie... VMX’s alternative world go-go boy Scooter was entertaining, but it was also balanced with his real world lampshaded flirtations with chorus girls backstage after too much eggnog. There was a harder edge to VMX that some fans didn’t like, but I was fine with...

What would be your "Ultimate Poser?"

Luncheon Counter Monster. I've always had a thing for him. Oooh, with Big Mean Carl. They'd make a great team.

    Stretch Armstrong Movie...

When the toy lines tank it only hurts the toy companies and the stores that carry that line. The film company makes bank either way. The toy industry is hard to decipher. The Avatar regular figures are some of the crummiest movie merchandise I've ever seen, but folks seem to buy them while there...

    Stretch Armstrong Movie...

I've already made too many jokes about this film to my friends yesterday, but I think the casting insures a hit. That guy could read the phonebook and people would show up. He's have me for five minutes of that. :o ...nevermind. Henson Co just plain has trouble with large scale projects so I...

Your Thoughts: Kermit and Miss Piggy on America's Got Talent

I think the Kermit voice track was pre-recorded at the D23. Wasn't that the consensus and why the meet and greet was Fozzie, Gonzo and Pepe, but no Kermit?
