It's great to hear news!
I'm a little confused. Wasn't most of the information in this latest update already confirmed long ago or was that not official then? Any production dates actually mentioned that I missed? :scary:
I've finally gotten to a point of waiting to collect the trade paperbacks. Keeping up with the single issues for all of the titles now has become too challenging and costly. Is anyone else in the same boat? So much Muppety goodness is a nice problem to have! :)
If that's not rhetorical and you really would like to know my thoughts on the Idget strip, here goes.
In a nutshell, the drawing isn't as minimal as it is kind of messy and kind of breaks its own established style and character proportions from panel to panel. These are elements that the...
I am now thinking that Cheapest was a negotiating tool used in order to tell people that Disney was making a film, but without committing to Segel's involvement until details were hammered out.
I'd like for this special and the anniversary to be commutated too. There would be nothing cooler than ABC to release an all new special on Jim Henson's life as well as the classic Remembering Jim special of the 90s.
I think Disney's focus right now is to revive the brand and to keep it...
:( Really? Are you uncomfortable with the idea of gay Muppet characters or that it shouldn't matter either way?
Personally, I don't think it should matter and I believe the interpretation of Bert and Ernie, like all good Muppet bits, should be left up to the viewer. The target audience is...
Oooh, the art looks really good so far. I will admit that Amy's once spot-on Gonzo art is looking a little Muppet Baby cutesty here, but her Fozzie is fantastic as is the style of the entire cover.
Films in the works include ones for The Magic 8 Ball, Monopoly, Battleship, Candyland, The Viewmaster, Stretch Armstrong, but they have yet to make a movie for Slinky! I want my Slinky Movie! :p
I do take Jim Hill's information with a grain of salt, as you've suggested. Much of it here seems on point except for the idea that one Muppet film was scrapped for another when it's likely just a title change now that they have a firmer idea of what Disney wants out of a Muppet film.
It's a...
I agree that the government should also keep their noses out of other people's business. What's next...bringing back all the blue-laws? If they really want to butt-in, give tax credits that reward families’ healthy habits.
Still - - parents need to stop treating McDonald's like a cafeteria...
Welcome to the forum! :super:
It's a minor miracle these fantastic limited edition posers were made at all. I doubt the Henson Company would ever have approved such a thing, but Disney has permitted these replicas with one stipulation...that they will not be puppets. I can understand that...
I see Walter as a plot device specifically made for the film. I'm certain Segel will want to perform him, being a fan and rather talented puppeteer too. Who knows if he actually will?
I don't think Walter is intended to be a break away character, but if Segel really gets the chance to perform...
This has been out for a while since elements from Segel's first script treatment started making the rounds on various websites. Walter's a brown ambiguous puppet creature, but no word on what exactly that will look like. For some reason I keep thinking of Warren from Greg the Bunny. Hehe...
Either way...wouldn't it be great if people were more like Muppets...different and crazy, yet still found a way to get along? :attitude: :concern:
Well that's good news, but still no ETA on Rizzo or even the pre-order. We do have a price! That's good. Still, I'd like it to be under $350 without having to join something. We'll see.
Actually, that character on Heroes is the one that helped sink the series' ratings. I know so many people that fast forwarded those parts on the DVR. Madmen is worth checking out and Glee is a fun guilty pleasure with some good musical moments (plus Buffy's Joss Whedon will direct an episode...
