eFX Collectibles to produce Muppet Replicas

I still think that EFX or someone should create something akin to a replica mini Muppet Theater and/or mini Muppet Scene Backgrounds along with individual batches of mini 2.5" scale characters to go in it. Materials should be easy, reference would be no-brainer and there definitely is an...

    The Muppet Mindset

New Muppet Sculptures (Tried to post over there, but it wouldn't show up.) These new figural representations are exactly what I was hoping Disney would make and these are quite nice. I see what this renouned Disney artist is shooting for. However, I hope these are still prototypes. They're...

    The Smurf's Triumphant return!

I'm in charge of product orders for a small toy shop in San Francisco and I've looked into getting classic Smurfs in the store. Our shop is stocked with heaps of cool Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and GI JOE, but falls short in a lot of other areas. There's not much Muppet stuff available to us...

eFX Collectibles to produce Muppet Replicas

Since Palisades, Muppets have always been a big hit with everybody at the cons. Something to look for. I'm not saying that EFX is saving some special announcement or shelving the project either, but Comic Con certainly would give the Muppets a better launch than some newsletter. It's actually...

Weinstein rolls with Fraggle Rock movie

Hmmm...could this be the case? I see Seth's advice as one thing rather than the only thing to include in order to please core fans. Cory already knows it's about story and character development. This just seems to be something extra. It's cool to me. It also seems that the Weinstein edgy...

Any chance of bringing back the figure line?

If anything, Disney would probably release some sort of PVC set of Muppets around next year's film. I wouldn't expect Palisades quality figures from them, but you never know. Since gobbling up the Marvel license, Disney is learning a whole new world of merchandising - especially action figures.

    Arch Pics?

I tried that and couldn't get anything to come up. If it's images of the arches, once again The Muppet Show Book is the way to go. If a catalog of characters is needed, the Muppet Wiki has those. :search:

Is there an overrated/underrated Muppet production?

If you're asking about who wrote the post he was citing that I was citing...well there were several people making the same point. I just picked one that happened to be male. Nothing personal there, I assure you. And Johnny Fiama is a fantastic avatar to have no matter what your gender. I...

    Fozzie Illustration

Drew Struzan's illustrated take on the Muppets marks the best cinematic feel to me. The Muppet Movie Great Muppet Caper Muppet Christmas Carol Muppet Treasure Island Henson Specials and Emmet Otter were all done by this fantastic artist. Not sure who did MTM or MFS's style one and style...

    Arch Pics?

Here's a small version from typing Kermitage into a google search, but the actual images are no longer archived. The arch pictures come from the Muppet Show book. That's what you should be asking for. Mine's in storage, but maybe you could get someone to scan a couple pages for you. Hope this...

Your Thoughts: The Muppet Show Comic Book

Hehe. I keep thinking since the inclusion of Skeeter that the artist style sheet keeps getting mixed up with the more bulbous-nosed Baby Gonzo. Amy had it so perfectly nailed in Pan so I don't understand this funky turn into cutsifying him. Gonzo is, afterall, my favorite Muppet.

Your Thoughts: The Muppet Show Comic Book

What's up with Gonzo's nose? It's getting cutsier and cutsier when it used to look so wonderful in the Pan issues. Oh well, the rest of the art looks really nice. :concern:

    Nickelodeon Petition

Now back to the discussion about the current quality of broadcast cartoons… The mediums of television and cable have drastically changed since the introduction of new broadcast methods. As different internet, on demand and portable device technologies grow both old and new companies will want...

    Nickelodeon Petition

You wanna know who peed in my cornflakes, buddy? The guy who used the unimaginative, derogatory term "Fagboy" to describe something he didn't like! Wow! What bigotry from a member of a Muppet fan site. I wouldn't sign any petition you'd create! You do realize just how terrible your language is...

    PotDC Budget: Over $100 Million

Nope, but I trained in film production at SVU in NY, A of A in SF and almost graduated from it until changing majors to multimedia. ;) I also follow the trades and new developments quite a bit. I can't quote you a figure, but even with the two camera set-up causes drastic changes in every...

eFX Collectibles to produce Muppet Replicas

I'm frustrated like everybody else, but the lapses of communication at EFX are probably unintended. It would be nice for some sort of heads-up post on their website to thank customers for their patience. It's a 5 minute way to show customers they care about providing good service. A little...

    PotDC Budget: Over $100 Million

Personally, I don't favor 3D and a lot of friends feel the same way, but it is definitely popular with the masses (much the same way a lot of cheesy things in life are popular). It has gotten people back to the movie theaters instead of waiting for NetFlix. Imax is popular too, but I feel it's...

    PotDC Budget: Over $100 Million

Maybe not double, but close to it. 3D is a very expensive way to shoot and adds a substancial burden on the budget! Especially in a film that uses all of these layered effects. It isn't just a difference in cameras or film stock, there's a massive difference in the dynamic of setting up each and...

    Decline of entertainment?

"Set in the Middle Ages, the evil wizard Gargamel (Hank Azaria) discovers the Smurf's village and chases them into some woods. The Smurfs get scattered and Clumsy Smurf (voiced by Anton Yelchin) wanders into a "forbidden" grotto and some of the other Smurfs follow. Since it's also a blue moon, a...
