Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I still refuse to believe Disney is that stupid to not have any bonus features on the dvd, and save it all for the bd version. I mean if that's the case, I'll just wait for someone to put up the blu ray iso or 1080 those suckers onto youtube. Fascistly forcing people to blindly choose blu ray...
So in the late 90's, Disney's ABC pulls the amazing Ellen show because she came out being gay...oh how far we've come since then.
Only traditional sitcoms I watch now are Big Bang Theory and 2 Broke Girls. Only "office" like shows I watch are Office, Modern Family, Up All Night and Curb Your...
Im half tempted to do a reworking/re-imagining of the muppets film incorporating the deleted scenes, rearranging/editing other scenes now that im getting better with editing software:)
I had a feeling Disney wasnt stupid enough to release an extra less home release. And Im pretty sure that all the extras listed are also for the dvd. I refuse to ever buy a blu ray, so dvd for me. Had this been another Tron Legacy home release(ie: nothing at all but the film itself) I woulda...
Yeah I stopped buying dvds when I took home Tron Legacy and was shocked to see there was not one single extra on it. I was like forget this. If they are going to slap long time customers in the face like that, then I hope everyone turns to torrents. Especially for the prices they charge...$20...
I like "Houdini" and "Helena Beat" the best off Foster the People's Torches album.
For similar bands, check out MGMT's "Oracular Spectacular" album, Empire of the Sun "Walking On a Dream" album or Two Door Cinema Club's new album.
As much as it's over played, I dig Foster the People. Reminds me of a lot of the more underground jangly hipster indie rock stuff Im obsessed with.
Not underground at all, but a song I love
Plushes are the cheapest things to make. It's basically a chinese sweat shop worker stuffing some beans or cotton in cheap fabric. IE: Modern Sesame 6" plushes at Target and Toys R Us...man those things look like fire hazard cheapo *expletive*
I have paid over $20 for plushes, but only for home...
So true. A few years ago everyone was dogging on Landgridge's style, and I was one of the few going "wait a second, this is actually a pretty fresh and inventive take that works." NOW everyone loves it, but originally very few seemed to be ok with it.
It's too bad they never reprinted the 1978...
But you haven't seen Hugo, how can you judge it? It ends up being a pretty visionary(in some parts) tribute to original cinema.
Also, just because someone isn't head over heels in love with a film doesn't mean they are x or z. Everyone loves Empire Strikes Back, but it's one of my least...
I had predicted, or at least feared we wouldnt get any merchandise. I mean people are getting excited over Muppet nail polish, rubber bands and "snuggies"...that shows you how hard up people are for *any* merchandise. I was surprised they released a beaker, walter, and pepe plush. I think the...
I was at Target, all the Smurfs toys and playsets were in the 50-75% back of the store aisle. They should just pay people to take it. Sadly the only thing on toy aisles these days are overpriced shrimpy comic book figures, bakubentenmon, dubya dubya wrasslin,
and OH BOY! Star Wars. how exciting!
I mean unless youre wearing a beige sports coat, mustache and tube socks I dont think anyone's going to comment on anything of the sort. I'm not saying take your brash uncensored style you freely wield here on the forums into real life, but I definitely had a transformation over the years where...
AICN nails my thoughts on the new film:

From the words of Harry Knowles himself, a longtime rabid Muppet fan of several decades:
Finally, a review that absolutely to the tee nails my frustration with the film
I kind of reached a point where I just stopped caring what people think. Im a 34 year old guy who regularly wears mismatched knee high striped socks, at time ridiculously quirky vintage thirft store clothes(of varying scales of fitting), weird pairs of converse and usually have Beaker like crazy...
Yeah that 1990 vhs promo with Jim talking about the future was amazing, he could might as well have been talking about a proto Youtube. I mean that's where we're at: user generated content that is seen by more people than even top tv shows
I would love to see Cheapest Muppet Movie made...would...
Well thats three confirmed MvA fans:) I usually can't stand Dreamworks, but the style/quality/imagination/scope/fun of MvA really took me by surprise. I even have an Insectasaurus plush, and the three dvds(the movie, bobs break out and halloween special) That's...probably going to be the last we...
