Who is brainwashing who? :)
Dr Tooth, there is no new TMNT. They can call it that, just like JHC can make some crappy digital puppetry show called "Doozers", but Fraggle Rock and TMNT are properties that for better or worse only exist in memories. I know, it's hard. Im a lifelong TMNT fan too...but I had to come to acceptance.
First lunchbox=Fraggle Rock with Thermos in third grade. I think, 1985 or so. Man I carried that thing everywhere, despite being made fun of.
It wouldnt be til Palisades in the late 1990's I'd get into lunchboxes again.
Plastic lunchboxes don't exist in my mind....only one I ever got is the...
Here in California, when something has the word dollar in it, it's a store where everything is a dollar. Tons of Dollar Stores, Dollar Trees, 99 cent stores, 98 cent stores.
:)
While it's amazing to FINALLY have Muppet movie merch tie ins(finger plush puppets, lunchboxes) and Ive always been a fan of tie ins...
Disney is royally confusing parents/general public/etc with all these different combo packs. Just have a blu ray, dvd(WITH all the blu ray extras, k thx), and...
Well Scooter's voice is finally spot on.
But I found this Ted performance hard to watch. It just felt...akward. And why wasn't the audience laughing or being enthused? Also I hate it when Muppets are referred to as puppets. To me it just cheapens the whole thing. I didn't even get the point...
Funny that the first time we get Muppet Movie merchandise, it's combo pack bundles at retail outlets. Not complaining, and in fact it's pretty cool. (big lunchbox fan myself)
LOVED this! My fave Sesame special ever next to Dont Eat The Pictures and Big Bird Goes To China.
I wish they'd do more of the really cool special types again(like Dont Eat The Pictures and the China/Japan one)
Also I second Grundgetta! No idea why they phased her out. Though I have to say, I do love ALL the next gen characters. I LOVVVVVVVVVE Murray, Ovejita, Abby, Rosita, Baby Bear, Zoe, etc.
It's a sad culture we live in, where kids in America are taught that it's ok for Muslim villages to be wiped out yet a woman breastfeeding in public(or two men holding hands) is horrible.
Seriously, what is more natural than a woman breastfeeding? Politicians talk about what is "natural and...
Actually, I agree. In fact, bring the Muppets BACK to NYC.
Given The Muppets 2011 was pretty much a remake of IAVMMCM(even if it was an unconscious coincidental remake), I say TMTM can be a good influence for the next film
Naw, Labyrinth was cult with that crowd before that. And it was that Neil Gaiman/Invader Zim crowd that was the reason for the Tokyo Pop books. And I say good! I see nothing wrong with that crowd actually, and think it's a good thing.
Well it brought the gang to the absolute forefront of the public mind, even if not every college/adult person who remembers the muppets turned out. And it got a pretty much perfect rating with all professional critics which is weird.
It's funny you brought up Batman Begins, as I find it a...
Had THIS been what the new Muppet movie was, *or* more importantly what the next one could be...tell me you wouldn't be giddy as could be? :)
That is 100% what I envision a modern Muppet film to be, not ABC family movie sparkle and gloss.
I'm just so glad they brought him back as the main villain for the MWDW special. After decades of Henson consumption I still feel that special is one of the top 5 Muppet things I've seen. Bringing him back in some capacity would be perfect
Seeing that scene is deeply surreal for me. In 2002 I posted a screenplay synopsis for a new Muppet film. The opening of the movie was set in a high rise office where all the Muppets were busy in a madcap type scene.
I literally think they could have kept on filming, and have made a completely...
