Wellll, on the other hand, Richard might have liked playing Baby Bear as much as he liked playing Elmo.
Absolutely right. That whole bit with nephew Fred's party was a drain on the film with so much time away from the Muppets.
Well I remember he was asked about it once in an interview in MC's articles section:

I love GMC and I don't the final product is smug, but I can also get what he's saying; GMC is the least sentimental of the original three and...
What drew me to the Muppets was they made me laugh and the characters were endearing. MMW didn't make me laugh and the way the characters were treated just made me sad. Again, if the whole movie had been like the Kermit scenes, I might have enjoyed it more.
MCC is a fine film. I like the music. It just never feels like a Muppet movie to me. It's a kid's holiday film. And anyway for me the best adaptation of Christmas Carol is The Stingiest Man in Town.
But hey, more power to anyone who likes MCC; at least it doesn't offend. :)
Well the ad agency is trying to make healthier cool, lol.
Well Italy did leave the Axis after awhile. Plus there was a vocal Italian American community the studios probably didn't want to annoy. Mussolini was certainly attacked though.
And also, that's the point. We ALWAYS pick soda to drink. It's become normal and mundane. Sunny D is new and different! That's the message they're hoping to convene.
Loooved the cartoon series, I can still quote from it, lol.
"Henry VIII. Three eyes? Wow, that's got to be one scary looking dude!"
"No, Ted, that means eight in Roman numbers. Henry 8th."
"Woah...he must be good if he's already made 8 movies."
In my experience, if people genuinely connect with a movie, then they don't mind if the plot is goofy or not human centered, etc. Not everyone connected with this film. It's not more complicated than that. There's no big hidden agenda or bias. Some people just didn't enjoy the film. It happens.
Man of Steel, my friend and I had so many fights over that movie. I wish I could have enjoyed it just to avoid so many hurt feelings, heh. Plus I want to be able to enjoy comic book movies, but it just feels like the fanbase is being manipulated and taken advantage of.
Going along with the OP...
Indeed. :)
I mean, for me, I can see it both ways. I'm not as interested in watching a non-Henson Kermit, and I don't apologize for that. At the same time, I don't say the new voices are "wrong." The writing is often what's wrong, lol. ;)
