Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I know Phil made a thread under Henson people, but this really should be headline news.
I've always considered NYC to be the spiritual home of the Muppets so this is beyond exciting to me.
Quite a number of Muppet and Sesame performers with their signature characters(as well as lot of the...
Whoah...I just realized, that's like a part of the Sesame Street crew! Dang...hope there's some Sesame Street character surprises^__^;; Anyways, all I could get was two lower balcony seats, but for $9 such a steal. I'll be at the 12:30 show, probably loiter around to visit with people for the...
Yeah, freaking Imagi. I wonder how much of Gatchaman was done? Imagi was very high quality stuff I believe, which is more than I can say for a lot of non Pixar cgi film companies.
For me and many other diehard TMNT fans, they're dead. The Nick show from the previews looks like crap(remember...
Im going! Just got my flight and hotel. Wouldnt miss this for the world! Though, strange they're doing two shows in a row. Who wants to meet up and who is all going?
I say we make this a big east coast meetup^__^ Im flying all the way from California
Haha, just like our "wonderful" government, lulz.
As much as Im annoyed at times by the Obama worshipping liberal media and Bill Maher types, the right wingers are so lulzy I wonder if anyone actually takes them or these GOP candidates seriously.
And you know Dr Tooth...Ive begun to...
I've seen the entire uncut MFC in dvd quality posted online. People complain about "where's Season 4 and 5???" The more Disney ignores the fans, the more they'll look to "alternative" methods to find the media they want. And not a dime will be made.
I do like how Walmart packed packin extras...
TMNT is unique, in that the revivals didn't screw everything up. I've hated most the Transformers revival cartoons and don't even acknowledge the existence of the Michael Bay movies. TMNT 2003 and the 2007 film I thought were astonishingly good.
TMNT the cartoon got really goofy, and TMNT 2...
I actually like the title Ninja Turtles. I was a fan of the name "TMNT" used for 2007 and Ninja Turtles sounds good. Otherwise I have no faith in this. The Nickelodeon series looks like pure utter expletive dee-leeted.
Wait, that's NOT Michael Bay's Transformers 4? Wow...
I've known all about Burroughs and the Carter series(ok, I guess I am an old school geek of sorts) but ugghh...I know it's gotten good reviews by some, but nothing about JCM(Im sorry, "John Carter"...apparently the adwizards thought John...
Against the track record JHC has for announcing big things (series and movie wise) that never get turned into reality, this doesn't seem like one of those projects. I forsee it as being a Fall or Xmas period Target/Walmart/TRU endcap dvd release.
I'm surprised (in a good way) Pajanimals is...
ya mean....... 80+20+????? for a big lcd screen. Getting a blu ray player for a non fancy shmancy tv is like my neighbor kid who played NES on a black and white tv.
vhs --> dvd =/= dvd --> blu ray. Not even close.
Im hoping all the bonus content is put on youtube. For people who got the dvd(with nothing on it) why shouldnt they be allowed to see the content? I still say it's total baloney the crap Disney pulled with the dvd release
What a nice surprise! I love seeing all the monsters (ESPECIALLY Carl^__^)
Though uh, slipping a pill into a punch bowl...not sure if that's very Muppety >__O
Rumor has it the ooze itself may be alien in origin, in which case Im fine. If the TMNT are literally *from* a different planet, Im out. Also I fear its gonna be in that hop/smurfs/alvin/garfield/gforce ugly jarring cgi on live action with fart jokes, quit cut editing and dumb human actors
He's saying "one of the creators of TMNT"...he of course means Laird. Meanwhile, the REAL TMNT muscle, Kevin Eastman, is working on cool black and white comics
Whoah...I thought youd have an explosive response to the news. I know reading the news was the final nail in the coffin for me. TMNT doesnt even exist in my mind anymore post 2007
