Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
One of the best interviews I've read this year! I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Spinney and Oscar at a San Francisco book signing several years ago and he was phenomenal. An artist's living is not an an easy one and he almost lost faith and considered leaving Sesame Street after the first...
Wow. Did anybody notice that this star is for Film? Kermit's and Jim's stars were awarded for their work in television. It's nice to see they diversified with this one.
:):o:mad::halo::concern::rolleyes::grr:
Has anyone found a way to pause the blu-ray so that we can freeze frame without going into the intermission bits? I'm trying to pause to see things in Walter's bedroom. Maybe I'll have to low-res freeze-frame on the DVD. It's just that the Blu-ray transfer is so beautiful.
Even though I'm on record as not being a fan of the Photoshop direction on the movie posters and cover art, the Best Buy tin is definitely worth getting. It's nicely constructed and worth shelling out a few extra bucks. It really transforms a very good movie into a treasured keepsake.
There used to be an ignore button. There isn't now.
The recent climate of posts has set a tone of entitlement and griping rather than celebration and exploration. I don't have a particular issue with Joseph or any member and I'm certainly not trying to bait anyone. That’s kind of a baiting...
People are watching most of their television in short segments on portable devices. I'm afraid that the simplification of entertainment into one-note set-ups is becoming more often because of this. There are still some great shows out there. I hope they stick around! :concern:
I'll certainly explain without going on for lengthy posts, stirring the pot and feeding into the negativity here again. The Pessimism Free Thread is supposed to be only about the good experiences we're having. We're allowed to create threads with mission statements and that was mine. It was much...
I've decided to add a Walter smile for general optimism, excitement and positive thinking. MC could use more Walters! The great passion he brought to the Muppets movie has earned him a place in my heart and a place in our smilies. He's right here if and when MC wants to add him.

Joseph, the one and only contribution to the "pessimism-free" thread was a negative response to Cindy's post that praised the blitz of Muppet appearances on television.
I didn't bite off your head. You have a history of account suspensions for instigating arguments and other such behavior. I...
There have been plenty of ads in primetime slots for NBC and ABC. It's amazing any primetime viewer could have missed seeing one. The characters have also plugged the DVD on ABC's the View and Good Morning America, CNN's Anderson Cooper 360, MTV's Musical Madness and Comedy Central's Colbert...
This was way back like 6 months ago. It was a typical troll who signed up here to start trouble and got booted pretty quickly. Many of his posts advocated Nazism and he couldn't understand why that sort of intolerance can't be tolerated at a Muppet forum. In fact, intolerance is he only thing...
It's extreme to call them fascists, but that's understandable. It's just tiresome and really tacky to bring up Hitler and Nazis in a conversation about anything other than genocide. In the end, this company is still giving us free space and free exposure. It's Google's house and they make the...
