    Muppet Time

Has anyone thought of putting together a guide for the series of "Muppet Time" shorts that were done for Nick in the mid-90's? According to the timeline, ten of them started airing in 1994 and then 30 more went into production the next year. What kinds of jokes did they use? How long were...

Luke's Muppet Year In Review 2002

Nice article, but what does "learn't" mean? I didn't know about the Hoobs documentary, but this reminds me of how much I would love to see a Bear in the Big Blue House behind-the-scenes documenatry and performer/creative staff showcase. Nice job!

    Back to the Future DVD

Huh? The only version I've ever seen is the one where Biff gets erased from time.

So then why should someone be concerned with making sure their region-free/all-region DVD player is going to play PAL? As far as I understood, PAL was the video format used in the UK.

Aren't all (or most anyway) Region 2 discs formatted in PAL? I wouldn't worry anyway, as I've never heard of a region-free/all-region DVD player that couldn't handle PAL, SECAM and NTSC.

Rainbow Connection on Muppet Central Radio

Well, that was "Bein' Green" which I actually like very much. It's a fantastic arrangement.

Rainbow Connection on Muppet Central Radio

I think she keeps twitching because it's been too long since she's had a hit. I'm not a big fan of that version at all. I wish Kermit had done a duet with someone better like Helen Reddy. Although admittedly, the DH version is slightly better sans visuals.

    MC Radio: Hoobs

Well, I've really been digging the Sesame Street stuff that you can't find on CD. (Hey Warrick, the Dudley Moore link is broken.)

Rainbow Connection on Muppet Central Radio

Thanks Phil. I voted for Paul Williams' version of his own song. It's just so natural... oh my gawd, it JUST came on MC Radio RIGHT NOW as I'm typing this. Freaky... or Phil bumped it up in the rotation ;)

    MC Radio: Hoobs

I'd like to see a few shows to sample it, but it doesn't air in the US. With Bear however, I was already becoming a Bear fan before I ever saw an episode just based on the songs. But as you said, it does come down to personal taste.

Sweet! Nice job! I hope we get to see a New Year's banner at MC ;)

The Vikings' "In the Navy" number is indeed fantastic. It can be found in the Roger Moore episode available on DVD from Time Life.

    Replacement Puppeteers....

Well remember that Richard didn't define his version of Janice until after Fran and Eren had taken their crack at her.

    MC Radio: Ernie and Bert

Thanks for the info on those. [sigh] So many great SS songs, and so few original albums released in the last decade. Most of them were all reissues of old LPs. I'd like to see some new song collections with material like this. Was "Imagine That" on any of the VHS/DVD releases that you know...

    MC Radio: Hoobs

In all honesty, I've been waiting for one to hit me the right way. You know, to have gotten really used to one or two of them. As it is, when a Hoobs tune comes on, my groan is followed by the turning down of the volume. They seem to lack the quality in writing that the songwriters were able to...

    songs in background

This is done quite a bit in TMM actually. "Movin Right Along" is used so much that it's a wonder that it didn't become more recognizable over the years than "The Rainbow Connection" due to its' suggestive presence. "I Hope That Somethin Better Comes Along" is peppered here and there and so is...

    MC Radio: Ernie and Bert

I don't think Ernie's "Imagine That" is on any of the CDs that have been released (correct me if I'm wrong). Which LP was this on? Such a cute song. What's the new Ernie and Bert song about things in Ernie's head? I was in the other room when I heard it, but I'm pretty sure it was Frank and...

    MC Radio: Hoobs

One of the main reasons I'm a Bear fan at all is because MC Radio played some great songs from the show that were simply irresistable. Previous to these radio encounters I wasn't familiar with Bear at all... but now I'm a huge fan. Similar setup for The Hoobs. Never seen it, doesn't interest...

It's included on the Region 2 DVD release of The Very Best Of The Muppet Show which will ship from Amazon to the US. You'll need a region-free/all-region DVD player to play it though.
