    Bad Transaction Alert: Andrew Young

This is just a "watch out" thread for any of you who may come in contact with Andrew in the future. I won a contest on his Bear-Town site, and it's been nearly two years since I've won, and I never got the "prize package" that I was supposed to get. Email after email, he apologized about being...

    Sam and Friends

According to all of the Sam and Friends episodes and clips I have, there's only one actual episodem out of 13 or so that features Sam, which is Old Black Magic. Kermit seemed to be the main focus on the show, and he, Harry, Yorick, and Chicken Liver were occasionally voiced by Jim. For the most...

I'm new to the "Bear" den

Disney has a policy about kids shows, which is to only shoot 200 or so episodes and stop production. This way, it's cheaper, and they have enough shows to rerun. Bear hit that mark, therefore it ended.

    Foam Wholesalers?

Thickness varies on puppet size. For my smaller puppets with flexible mouths, I make sure I use 1/2 inch. I use 1 inch foam for my larger puppets with rigid mouths (Karen Before , Karen after , Murky's head is also 1 inch ) 1 inch makes your puppets heavier and bulkier. If you want to make a...

Jim Henson's The Cube on DVD

It's originally in color. I doubt they would take the time to colorize it being that it's so obscure.

Jim Henson's The Cube on DVD

It wasn't a series. It was an experimental 30 minute special.

how do you like my puppets?

How much were the feather boas at Hobby Lobby? I'd like to get an ostrich boa for my next puppet, but I can't find a decent one online for a good price.

how do you like my puppets?

Your puppets have a lot of potential. I particularly like Douglas and the bird character. One bit of creative criticism: You are both definitley getting your own style, which is great, but there's one thing that every beginning puppet builder should learn that if they don't learn can break an...

Jim Henson's The Cube on DVD

If you're interested in a trade, let me know. If you have nothing to trade, you can always get something from my wish list in exchange.

Jim Henson's The Cube on DVD

Is this the color version or the B&W one? I have the color version if you need it, along with a much more vibrant copy of Time Piece (the old copy everyone has has a very red tint.)

    Scarecroe's Files

Scott asked people to save the files to their harddrive and not view them directly off the site, saving bandwith. I guess certain people didn't follow these directions, leading to this.

    Blowing my own horn

Very reminiscent of a Crank Yankers character. Good job! One question: is she meant to be an angry character? Her eyes gives off an angry vibe.

Vic, these are awesome, thanks so much! You don't happen to have Kermit and Cleopigtra, do you? That was a favorite of mine as a kid ;)

Was Jim Henson an actual full fledged hippie?

It's a known fact within the company that Jim was a ladies' man. Let's just say I can't say any more than that on the several things I was told about this from different people. Jim also had a few girlfriends when Jane and he seperated, but none of the relationships lasted long. Let's face...

Was Jim Henson an actual full fledged hippie?

Jane says that Jim was never into drugs, but it's pretty hard to believe. I do know for a fact, though, that he was a bit of a womanizer. I guess we won't really know until the Henson family approves that "tell-all" book.

Thanks so much for the info, Andrew. I'm calling on Monday to find out more info, since it looks like I may be attending ;) Where'd this info come from?

    Heir to the edgy throne

The entire series is now on DVD. It's definitley worth the price. In my opinion, the show was cancelled prematurely. It's really good, and is a nice irreverent look behind the scenes of a kiddy show...
