I don't understand the trepidation people are having with her casting? I actually breathed a sigh of relief they didn't pick Miley Cyrus or Ashlee Simpson or etc.
We LOVE Angelina! She's fabooo... and I can see her working well with all the Muppets excluding Miss Piggy.
Angelina Jolie set to star in new Muppet movie:
Los Angeles - Angelina Jolie is being lined up to star in the new Muppets movie.
The 33-year-old actress - who is set to give birth to twins later this month - has reportedly been approached to feature in the film because she is such a huge fan of...
Very true Super Scooter. They bought the play which had never been produced for an unheard of 20 grand at the time. They had something like 10 writers working to punch it up. Some of them concentrated on the romance, the others on the police, & etc. etc. They definitely had a road map but...
Conventional wisdom would lead one to believe that it's better to have a completed script. The weirdness about Casablanca's script is it's all so beautifully intertwined, intricate and comes across as being written & completed months ahead. In actuality they were throwing those lines at the...
The point of the first draft is to cement your idea and get the job!
Once accepted there will be many re-writes and changes even while filming:
A good example would be "Casablanca" - the screenwriters were typing & handing the actors bits of dialogue as they were shooting the scenes.
It's how it works kermibaby. Hollywood looks at scripts like property: How big is the mansion? What's it made of? How does it look? How will it sell?
Have faith - that was a very fast turn in on Segels part which is always a great sign. His ideas were firmly in place; they recognized that...
Basically it works like this: Disney approved Segel to write the script. The first draft is all important because this is where Disney will decide whether or not to green light the making of this film.:o
They could ask him to do re-writes before the decision or green light and then...
ok OK, I want them all back even... breathe - Clifford. There I said it.
I hope that Segel is really serious about bringing back the 80's/90's greatness and when he says the whole gang that he means rare ones too! Maybe he just mean the central characters? Ah well, if we got Pigs in Space...
I would much rather see Beauregard make a comback than Clifford! Clifford isn't even a Jim Henson made muppet and he's gotten more airplay than the classics! I never liked him and I love Reggae! - Why was he so popular? To each his own - but yes frogboy - craft services table for him!
Rolling Stone!
Did Rolling Stone just post an article about the new project and claim that Segel is "Brilliant" for bringing the muppets back?
I believe they did:

I did not mean to hurt your feelings Bubba, you are very right about the money thing. Everything here revolves around cash flow. But, I've had this argument many many times before. If you make a classic and concentrate on the art of it - it will not only make money but carry on the franchise...
Performing and entertainment should be the best it can be! This is why we have critics :boo: to keep the performers on their toes...
I haven't really seen any arguing - just healthy conversation as to what we like and don't like. Perhaps people are overly sensitive?
Also - if...
I prefer to look at performance in a GYPSY ROSE LEE kinda way: "Either ya got it or ya 'aint!"
They should have a "Muppet Idol" show and may the best performer win the character!
you know I just had to go and counter everything - no hate mails please...:o
