    Hans Conried

Being a character actor, he was in thousands of films, plays, radio and tv shows (Yes, both of those "Lucy"s), but perhaps best know on TV as "Uncle Tanoose" on "Make Room For Daddy". And how many times did he play "The Magic Mirror" for Disney, starting with their very first-ever TV show "One...

My Version of Behind the Scenes of "The Muppet Movie"

OOOHH touch question! Cop out answer..they were ALL my faves! Actually, that's probably true. First, it was almost unreal actually holding all my televison friends. Then, since I build, I was fastenated by their size, the design and construction, how they worked, and finding out a lot of...

a question about that has probably asked a 1000 times

Jim finally gave in to the press and others calling the Kermit character a "frog-like" or worse "lizard", and cast him "The Frog Prince" special. He often gave in to things like this over time, when they just wouldn't die, like creating "reperesentational" puppets instead of just abstract...

    Roosevelt Franklin Elementary School.

Well, I know the press dubbed him "the first soul puppet". I always liked him and his mother, especaily the Freudian bit with "Gordon and Suan" doing the voices. And I've still got my original Fisher-Price puppet!

My Version of Behind the Scenes of "The Muppet Movie"

Thank you! The only time I saw Uncle Deadly was when Jerry Nelson was entertaining with him (nose picking), and got a quick close-up look at him afterwards, but I didn't get to try him out. I would assume since his head was not much more than a greyish/blue colored foam that he is more bulky...

My Version of Behind the Scenes of "The Muppet Movie"

If it helps to take away some of the "weepys", the moment wasn't exactly "beautiful". It was late in the day, we were all exhausted, and sweaty and (because I looked and still was) pretty young, he was kind of making fun of me (in the nicest way).

    What I think happened...

Getting "un-muffled" a bit... The original deal with Henson was totaly different from the one that eventually happened for political reasons and realities. Whatever Disney was said to have paid for the Company (150 million?) was to include the services of Jim Henson. Eisner got p.o.'ed...

    News On "muppetvision"...

...from "MiceAge.com" concerning the Disneyland Resort in California: "...what is planned to go away is the sparsely-attended MuppetVision show, as a reworked facility to house the popular Philharmagic 3-D show from Orlando and Hong Kong would go in its place." Link...

"live" Bunsen & Beaker At Disney's California Adventure?

Apairently they will be puppeteer-controlled animatronics like "Lucky The Dinosaur". I guess Bunsen will be "driving" some sort of vehicle and Beaker will be onboard while they have some more hidden puppeteers in the Park doing close aproximations of voices. Sounds...interesting....

    Disney Show (I can't remember)

A coupla more details. The show origianlly was syndicated to local (mostly NBC) stations in the early-mid 1970's, and was produced by Ward Kimbel the craziest of all Walt's Nine Old Men. Thefirst version of the opening credits was a wild montage of animated clips and still photos similar to...

I have several of the videos and trying to re-record them as DVDs, but can't figure out how to "finalize" them so they can be played on other DVD players. (If anyone has DVD versons PM me please!) Amazon and Paramount Home Video are both still selling the tapes.

    What became of syndication?

Yeah, between infomercials and Jerry Springer -type trailer trash I don't watch daytime except to regis and the news. BTW as for "Judge" shows, it was "People's Court" and Judge Wapner that "opened the can of worms". But you gotta admit Judge Millian is totally hott!
