Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I don't watch the Emmys, but I always make sure to check out the In Memoriam segments online since those are the only parts which really interest me. Was disappointed to see Jerry didn't get included, though I'm aware of award shows having tendencies to skip over names that shouldn't be skipped...
By a nose, Swedish Chef. No other Muppet makes me laugh as much as him with both his gibberish and his flailing. Kermit and Rowlf are close runner ups.
I got into FiM a bit more than a year ago. Enjoyable show with enjoyable characters, my personal fav being Fluttershy. Not really crazy for the brony term, though. I'm not a big fan of using referential terms for things like the TV shows I watch.
Not to mention the fact Piggy's response to Annie Sue was very envious. Even though Piggy is more competitive than most, I couldn't see any of her offspring being subject to that jealousy.
I took it just now and figured it would be more apt to post the results I got in this discussion since it's more active:
You Scored as Rowlf the Dog
You are one easy-going dude! You are mellow and outgoing, and are great with little kids and animals. People love you!
Rowlf the Dog
75%
Robin...
I wish it'd get out soon as well; I can understand that there's a need to iron out copyright issues with songs and such but to this sort of length? It'd be nice for me to get a chance at watching the last two seasons.
I grew up on Elmo and loved him in the day, so I'll always be fond of the little guy. However I do understand why older generations are annoyed with his dominating presence, which is among the reasons why I think it's important to appreciate all of the characters.
Can't go wrong with Count but he's not my sole fave of Jerry's. I also love Lew's wackiness, (the disruption of the wedding in his debut ep was priceless) Robin's sweetness, Floyd's chill demeanor, and the design of Uncle Deadly.
Was pretty tough to choose, so many of his characters are great, but I went with Sam. His uptightness is really entertaining when mixed with the looney land of the Muppets.
I'd say Cookie Monster's a close second.
Aside from Muppeteers, who are a given for anyone on here, the first one to come to my mind is John Muir for being someone that respected and helped preserve the environment for the future to admire.
I second this, it's such a catchy beat.
Also thought the Small World finale in the Spike Milligan ep was a riot, Spike's insanity and Sam's upright morality make for such an entertaining mix.
Another I like a lot is the Leslie Uggams/Big Bird duet. Hard not to feel happy while watching it.
