A unique idea for a Sesame Street parody band!

Yes, R.E.M. did come on the show and perform a song that was a parody of "Shiny Happy People", and it was called "Furry Happy Monsters." It's on this box set.

    I just now noticed this....

This isn't the first time. Do you remember the song "J" Friends with 4 Anything Muppets? On the last verse, when they sing the word, "jump", and they all jump up, underneath the green muppet, you can see the top of Frank Oz's head.

    What happened to Linda?

Well, sadly, they just don't have room for her anymore. They don't have room for a lot of that stuff. Most of the original adults aren't on very much anymore, especially since they only do 26 shows a season now.

Okay, but I think this was supposed to be a thread about animation. Does anyone remember the skits I posted about?

I have some more! "10 Pins song Minus 2 Leaves 8": A girl rolls a bowling ball down a lane with 10 bowling pins at the end. When she rolls it, it only knocks down 2 pins. It looks very psychadelic, but it's actually from the 80s, and it was not used very much at all. "3 + 1": A boy with an...

    The "Best" of Sesame Street....

I thought that same thing when I saw "The Great Numbers Game!" I looked at the listing on the back of the package, and it listed Country Two, Alligator King #7, and Pinball Number Count. But on the front, it said, "The Best of Sesame Street's CLASSIC Cartoons." Classic? Yeah, right. A good...

Rare animated films (not shown on Noggin)

I found out about John Magneusson from the Sesame Street music department. But I don't know anything else he did. All I know about the Jazz Number series is that Grace Slick sang it. A lot of the music for animations were written by someone who never wrote for the show again, but a lot of them...

Rare animated films (not shown on Noggin)

The reason why I said "does that count" was because this is mainly for animations that were never on Noggin.

I want all of them! And I want them in SP! Is the quality on these tapes very good? Are they complete with closing credits and everything?

Rare animated films (not shown on Noggin)

"Lost Boy Remembers Way Home" was from Season 3 (1971-72). The song was called "Remembering Song", and it was written by John Magneusson. He never wrote for the show again, I'm sure. "New Ball In Town" was from Season 6 (1974-75), and it was written by Steven Samler. This actually is on one...

    Sesame Song about Pockets

I remember a scene with a magician pulling a long colorful something out of his little pocket. I haven't watched it in quite some time, as I don't have a clean copy, so I don't remember it that well. But I wish I could see or hear this again!

Rare animated films (not shown on Noggin)

I have some! Do any of you remember: "Lost Boy Remembers Way Home": He rides his bike past all this psychadelic stuff, and he realizes that he's lost, and he asks a man with a yo-yo how to get back home. "Simon Says-Body Parts-Animals Mixed Up": Simple simon meets animals going to a fair...
