I'll definitely be getting this at some point! I've got it on my wish list and I hope I'll get it as a gift. Otherwise I'll just buy it myself.
But I love this movie so getting it in its proper aspect ratio is reason enough for me to double-dip! And I definitely watched the old DVD of it...
I like basically anyone used in the modern movies/TV specials:
-Clifford
-Pepe
-Bobo
-Johnny & Sal (<--- we need to see more of them!)
-Van Neuter (<--- ALSO need to see more of him!)
I was fortunate in that I jumped into the Palisades line before it became too obscure... around the time series 4 was released (it was the Samuel Arrow figure that pushed me over the edge into collecting the line, he's a gorgeous toy!).
I was able to get most of the series 1-3 figures for...
Fortunately it was only - what?- five songs that were cut? That's not SO bad I guess. But the strange thing is that one of the ones that were cut (in the Vincent Price episode I believe) was available on the single-disc version, but not the season set.
But at least Disney didn't patronize us...
^^^ That's terrible :( Great Muppet Caper had such great songs.
I'm surprised Disney hasn't released their own Muppet soundtracks from the old movies (aside from Muppet Christmas Carol). Hopefully we'll see some when the new movie comes out!
And... obviously you wouldn't play with the Muppet figures in the sandbox like you might with GI Joes, Star Wars figures, or Lord of the Rings figures, but they're fun to tinker with and display! :D
Wow, I remember waiting a week after its release for it to get to my house (my dad pre-ordered it from amazon  :attitude: ). I believe it was the summer before my sophomore year in high school.
I can't believe we haven't gotten season four yet :sympathy:
I'd actually be fine whether Rizzo came out or not. I mean if he doesn't come out, then that's ~$400 I don't have to spend, but if he does come out I'd be more than happy to add him to my collection (he is one of my favorite characters afterall)
lol great vid, although, while I think Eric does a fantastic Miss Piggy and Fozzie, and a good Animal, I'm still not a fan of his performance of Sam >_>
Great video nonetheless
Very awesome, I like that they need the actual puppets there when they do the table read. On a somewhat related note I always wondered if they had the puppets when they did the voice work for the Muppet Party Cruise game lol.
I love that they mentioned filiming the table read for the DVD...
They have all 3 versions of Uncle Deadly here http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/menu.aspx?menu=167&category=1325 if I didn't already have them (and Sweetums) I'd totally jump on that deal. Although I'm tempted to buy them anyway just so I have extras just in case lol.
