I looked around the web, and yes, this appears to be correct. And the DVD is in widescreen no less! I believe this is the first time the movie has even been seen in widescreen stateside. Hopefully all the bonus features will be retained and make this double dip worthwhile.

That's what I hope too. I still found it silly to hire Snoop and then scrap his scenes because of his usual antics outside of this project. Just think of how many TMS guests would have been chopped out if they had the level of tabloid journalism and paparazzi as we do today. Not a Snoop fan, just thinking it'll be fun to see him interact with Muppets.
And they tried to pass it off as "Oh, it's just a time constraint edit." Really, they were pressured by various groups that get their granny panties in a bunch when there's a prospect of children being exposed to reality. Not to mention the annoying "Muppets are EXACTLY the same as Sesame Street" mindset they had. I agree... heck, even Sesame guests weren't all Mr. Rogers. Richard Pryor.
If and ONLY if this disk has stuff that wasn't on the MGM release including ALL the cut scenes and all the bloopers. Something tells me there were a lot of much funnier bits left on the cutting room floor than the junk we got... other than the Bobo and Santa scene and the extended bit with Moulin Scrooge, they weren't even worth watching.
Really? Well I'll be dipped. Here's one release I did NOT see coming anytime soon. Still VERY exciting! I'll probably order on Amazon due to my lack of confidence in it being available in-store on the day of release.
