Muppet Guys (And Gals) Talking: The Muppet Family Interviews Thread

Matt did a great interview with this guy who's clearly done his homework. And Noel did this great discussion about Disney's Pinocchio. , https://jdhansel.com/pinocchio/

Disney Muppet Babies Season 3 Episode 6 - Gonzo's Bubble Trouble / Fozzie Can't Bear It

I thought it was sweet that Piggy was concerned about Fozzie floating and grabbed onto him to try to stop him from floating. I liked how when Fozzie and Gonzo did Kermit's classic "Hi-ho" their eyes became like Kermit's.

Sesame Street Season 51 Episode 5114 - The Counting Booth Counters

I found it surprising that for continuity sake, they had Abby wear her old dress at the end.

The new What Made You Smile Today thread

Hearing Andy Hayward on Movin Right Along. As I've said before, Anthony Strand does a good job of restraining himself from making jokes at the expense of Steve Whitmire and post-Jim projects when people who've worked with the Muppets are on the show.

Muppet Guys (And Gals) Talking: The Muppet Family Interviews Thread

Here are some great interviews with Johnny T. I loved hearing that his first puppet job was the Starts and Street Forever special, and where the deep voice for the AM who got the number one ticket in CinderElmo came from: ,

    Super Bowl LV: The Commercials

I really liked the new version of People in your Neighborhood in the Sesame DoorDash commercial.

Sesame Street Season 51 Episode 5113 - Elmo and the Healthy Heroes

The extra shot in Monster Foodies of Gonger playing a tuba was a surprise. I guess that was a running gag that got thrown away because, Gonger played kazoo in the porridge episode. Elmo dressed as the broccoli in the ending was a nice nod to Kevin playing the broccoli in the original episode.

    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

I don't wanna go through the effort of downloading all that stuff on my computer. If he just unlisted them, I guess I could ask him on Facebook to send me the links.

    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

Did anyone save Veston Bruno's videos of the Twiddlebugs in their real voices? I've just always enjoyed hearing what pitched-up voices sounded like when they were recorded.

Brian Henson looks at the Christmas Scat scene in MCC for a AFI video last month: I kinda love this scene for many reasons. To start with, I love the way Steve Whitmire scatted the song, which was very similar to the way my dad would sing, the way he swung the whole melody of "Tis the season to...

Sesame Street Season 51 Episode 5112 - The Waiting Game

I really liked the AM guitarist played by Stephanie that kept popping out of nowhere.

Sesame Street Season 51 Episode 5111 - Tough Monster Race

The best parts for me were the cold open referencing the classic Near and Far routine, Grover saying "When there's a problem, what do we say?! No really, I'm asking", and Guy Smiley.

"Major and important" Muppet announcement coming soon

As exciting as this is, I'd still want the DVDs but, this is better than nothing. If all the songs in season 2 are close-captioned on Disney+, that would be one advantage it has over the DVDs.

    The New New Quote Thread

Shelby Kelley asked on the Barretta Brothers episode with Ryan Dillon: "Is there a certain weight that comes with performing a character that has so much history attached to it? Ryan with Elmo, Bill with Rowlf." Ryan: It's hard, it took me a really long time to accept that you're not that other...

The new What Made You Smile Today thread

I recommend the both of you to check out the Twisted Toonz panel of voice actors reading the script for the Breakfast Club. Grey makes some great jokes in it, and Jess Harnell brings out a Wakko puppet when he reads as Wakko. You don't have to have seen Breakfast Club to find it entertaining...

Sesame Street Season 51 Episode 5110 - Huff, Puff and Away!

Elmo asking if the story is over before finally telling the ending in the street story was funny. I really liked the nod to Leslie's plastic guinea pig Gail.

    The New New Quote Thread

Matt Vogel: So Steve Whitmire and the Muppet Studio parted ways, and that left not just Kermit, but several other characters without a performer. And obviously Kermit is that key character, and there was an audition process that was overseen by the Muppet Studio and Brian Henson, with 20 people...

Disney Muppet Babies Season 3 Episode 5 - The Copy Club / Animal Loses It

I liked seeing Fozzie's Monologue set from the Muppet Show. Seeing Animal get a lesson from Miss Nanny was nice too. I really like seeing Piggy get along with characters who aren't Kermit.

Disney Muppet Babies Season 3 Episode 4 - The Mystery of the Missing Pearls / Rowlf Gets the Blues

It seems in character for Piggy to steal her mom's necklace since Frank Oz has said part of her backstory is she had a bad relationship with her mom. The song Rowlf sang was catchy.

Sesame Street Season 51 Episode 5109 - Sneeze a Season

The only thing I can comment on is the bit with Elmo and a sun played by David and a seagull played by Johnny K. Nice short little bit that could have been the cold open if it was shorter.
