MopFam 4: Cacti are Not Welcome

Father Moppet: I'm afraid I left the bolt-cutters in my other pants...and by pants I mean trousers.

    "The Muppets" isn't the Muppets

The Muppets are incredibly self-aware. Kermit (and Steve) will have almost immediately picked up on the fan-comments that Kermit was sad in the movie, and immediately found fun ways to play with that self-awareness.

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Well, yes, I knew that, but for me it was the way that the Lizardness randomly wore off that wasn't really explained and seemed a bit of a plot-hole. And I guess I just couldn't take him seriously as a threat at any point. And, as usual, he went from zero-crazy in about three scenes...

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

I would have accepted it a lot more if it didn't have such an annoying and TOTALLY unrealistic villain. I agree though, it could have amazing sequels!

    Why can't penguins talk anymore?

And don't let us get started on the differences between TMS and Sesame Street Chickens and Penguins.

    "The Muppets" isn't the Muppets

YES. YES. YES. Although there would no doubt be an immediate Fox-news backlash. "Kermit the Frog shouts at his Co-Workers, encourages Bullying."

    Why can't penguins talk anymore?

I think they are similar to chickens, sheep and Beaker. They probably know HOW to speak, but its no doubt hard for them (being more accurate to animal shape Puppets, they probably have more accurate to animal anatomy as well, voice boxes, etc.) Chickens, sheep and penguins have all spoken at...

    A Heart of Gold

I'm sure there must be an Ushy-gushy warning somewhere in there...and if you think these scenes are kissy, you should have been an MSN friend of Lisa's back in the day when she used to line scenes at people :P

MopFam 4: Cacti are Not Welcome

Father Moppet: *sits on the chest and leans against the cell door...which swings open pitching him to the floor* Gah! Goodness...That's not very safe. *stands up and closes the door again* Sorry about that Grace... (OOC: Busy couple of days sorry, didn't mean to avoid this thread!)

    Best TMS opening number

Oh my goodness, this *is* an old thread if I'm here asking for .wav files! (That said, my first thought on seeing this thread was that "Rama Lama Ding-Dong was the best opening sketch, so...some things stay the same.) I also loooove ("Get thee to a barnyard...") Barnyard Boogie!

New Muppet movie in development for potential 2013 release

EXACTLY. A lot of people have said its a shame that the Electric Mayhem didn't get to have a number instead of building the city to that old Starship song, but I still honestly feel like the gang were too freshly back together for it to have worked at that stage...having said that, The Electric...

New Muppet movie in development for potential 2013 release

I still think it would be great to have a Mayhem based Mockumentary on one of the music channels one day. They could get fake interviews with lots of famous musicians about how the Mayhem have been a big influence, etc.
