    Remembering Jerry Nelson (July 10, 1934-August 23, 2012)

I was shocked, honestly. Jerry Nelson might not have been a household name, but The Count was.

    Remembering Jerry Nelson (July 10, 1934-August 23, 2012)

I thought that at first, but all of the other names mentioned in the song are people who have died. Although it's possible; it doesn't make mention of "Matt" in the song being dead, only Matt telling Jerry Nelson that his turn is going to come.

    Remembering Jerry Nelson (July 10, 1934-August 23, 2012)

I had a question: Listening to "Eye of the Storm" from Truro Daydreams (such a beautiful and poignant song, favorite one on the album), and I was wondering: Does anyone know who Matt is? He references Jim Henson, Richard Hunt, his daughter, and I think the Jon is Jon Stone. Anyway, such a...

Jim Henson Lecture from 1987 on iTunes

I know. The JHC has so much information, interviews, and clips, that have never surfaced. We need to storm the archives!

The Disney Deal, and the Puppet Heap switch

I just don't like it on principal. Snatching the Muppet legacy away from JHC entirely, and having the audacity to not even mention the man himself in the credits. And on top of all of that, acting as if the Muppets are real, and completely ignoring the puppeteers. Future generations need to know...

Jim Henson Lecture from 1987 on iTunes

Thanks for posting. Just downloaded it! Great way to ring in the end of the world.

The Disney Deal, and the Puppet Heap switch

I'm just resurrecting this topic because I'd really like to know this, too.

    Kermit, Jack Black, Celebrities, People...

Kermit supports kidnapping, so long as no one gets hurt, or at least, as long as it's really funny.

TV Alert: Muppets on WWE Tribute to the Troops December 19 and December 22

Eh... That was pretty cringeworthy, to be Frank. (Hereby referring to a lovable Frank Oz curmudgeon sensibility.) The Muppets shouldn't be working with WWE. That's beneath them.

New Muppet movie in development for potential 2013 release

This is a sequel to Segal and Bobin's vision for the Muppets. You guys have said nothing to validate these claims. He has nothing to him. He's performed brilliantly, but that doesn't mean he's a worthy addition to the Muppets. Walter's sole purpose in the film is to get the Muppets back...

New Muppet movie in development for potential 2013 release

I've got to agree. Walter is a plot device, not a character. He has none of the depth or personality that the other Muppets have. Regardless, I'm happy they're doing a sequel.

    Jim's last Interview??!!

I've seen this. I always felt the reports of Henson being slower than usual are greatly exaggerated. Henson was a BRILLIANT puppeteer (obviously), but he was never as good with Improv as Frank Oz or Dave Goelz. He always worked better from a script. His voice sounds fine, too. A little deeper...

Finally an official DARK CRYSTAL PREQUEL !!!

The Dark Crystal isn't about story. It's about creating a world that has been for thousands of years, and will be there long after the movie has ended. To that end, Henson and company succeeded. I'm not a big fan of the story myself, but I agree with Lazlo when he says it's better than Tolkien...

Elmo Muppeteer Kevin Clash resigns from Sesame Street

When I was 17 I flew from Connecticut to Washington State unattended. It happens. Florida to NYC isn't far at all, really.

Elmo Muppeteer Kevin Clash resigns from Sesame Street

Well, that's certainly ugly if it's true. It makes both Kevin Clash AND Sesame Workshop look pretty bad. Out of the three, the first accuser is is the only one who seems to be credible.
