Tina Fey in Talks for Muppet Sequel

She's like the Madeline Kahn of this generation of comedians. Can't wait for this movie some more now.

I didn't know if this was the right place to post this, so Admins, move it if necessary! Great blog post from some random person. http://bloglynch.blogspot.com/2009/06/30-rock-is-rip-off-of-muppet-show.html Discuss! (Note: I love 30 Rock - maybe this is why!)

    Remembering Jerry Nelson (July 10, 1934-August 23, 2012)

I know. A lot of places left out Jerry Nelson. Such a shame.

    The Official Theater/Broadway Lovers Thread

He played one of the Trackers. When Django and the Dr. are being led by DiCaprio's character to his plantation, they run into a group of men who are hunting an escaped slave. It's a really weird change for Neeley, who always plays a good guy. In this, he looks scary. He also wrote/sang the...

    The Official Theater/Broadway Lovers Thread

Yes. That's one of the things I love about it: there is so much room for interpretation of the story and characters. Plus, like you said, the vocals are mindblowing. P.S. If you end up seeing Django Unchained, Ted Neeley from the original Jesus Christ Superstar movie has a cameo. Really weird...

    Best & Worst Film & TV: 2012

I agree. I don't watch it. I hate it. I hate TLC and what it has become. I feel the same way about reality shows. They exist to make viewers feel better about themselves, and to feel an inhuman disdain for people who dare to have a dream. A lot of people feel good watching others fail, mostly...

Arthur - Where is the Show Going?

Unrelated to the subject at hand, but why has D.W. always been voiced by a boy? It doesn't bother me, it just seems like a weird choice.

Your Thoughts: Jerry Nelson Tribute at The Moving Image Museum

I made such a jerk of myself talking to these Muppet performers. It was the first time I ever met any of them, and I was pretty much speechless - I swear, for a few minutes, I reverted to the four year old who revered these guys. Luckily, they were all kind. :P Anyway, the event was sad...

Remembering Charles Durning (Doc Hopper) 1923-2012

I didn't know he was also a WWII hero. That makes him all the more interesting. D-Day AND the Battle of the Bulge? What a life!

New Book: "Memoirs of a Muppets Writer" by Joseph A. Bailey

It's an excellent book. Pity it is not a more widespread publication. Anyone with an interest in the Muppets, Sesame Street, or just television writing in general, would benefit from reading it.

12 Awkward Days of Christmas by the Miskreant Puppets!

I love adult puppetry as well. I just think Henson is more sophisticated than this. They've been funnier before. I'm no prude, but "puppies pooping?" Really? Henson has always been cutting edge, not juvenile.

    Kermit, Jack Black, Celebrities, People...

Seriously, it's stupid. But it's possible too that they have a press packet with a bunch of questions that are "ok" to ask, with pre-written responses.
