You could argue the designs declined but they probably just wanted to make the character look less threatening and more colorful so they could appeal to a larger audience of kids. At the time, it seemed like Blue Sky was going to be a serious threat to Dreamworks and Pixar but they sadly never...
The animation of this new Ice Age somehow looks worse than the original from 2002 even though it's coming from a billion-dollar company. I really thought Ice Age 5 would be the end but they really can't stop milking it. The worst part is that this one doesn't even seem to feature Scrat the...
One of the worst cereals I've tried was the Sour Patch one. It was only 99 cents and I was curious enough to give it a shot but it was terrible. Though I'd still prefer it over something with raisins.
My favorite cereal is the Honey Bunches of Oats with granola and almond, it's always filling...
All the talk about her upcoming 100th birthday celebration made me feel like they were tempting fate...and sadly that ended up being the case. RIP Betty. Not many get to see 99 and very few celebrities were as beloved as her, she'll be missed.
Wish they would return with a youtube channel and do some mini-skits. BTL was such a huge part of my childhood, it's surreal to see them back in some form.
The ones in the box are okay (nothing special) but the ones that come in the cup taste really awful. Haven't eaten those in months and definitely don't want to try them again.
So this is the first time I've heard of Charlie Benson, guess I took a break at the right time. And yeah, this site should definitely be allowing new members again, that explains why I haven't seen any new faces in a while.
Honestly, I still really enjoy this site. There's not much to talk about and clearly not enough people who are willing to discuss muppet stuff anymore but it feels like a vintage corner of the web that I'll always cherish. I've taken many breaks solely because there's not much to say but I've...
I really wish the ABC series would have been made 4-5 years later so it could have been a Disney+ original. A lot of people seemed to discover it through Disney+ and I think it could have had a solid run there.
I agree about the 2011 movie, it was definitely a bit safe but that's the way to...
Can't believe it's been a full decade since this film was released, seems like it was only a few years ago. Probably the one commercially successful muppets project in a sea of disappointments that came after. What are your thoughts on the movie 10 years later and how has your perception of it...
I don't think it's comparable to old songs being played on the radio because commercials are almost always removed from circulation after 3-4 years (if not 3-4 months). So to have one from 1996 still airing is really neat.
I think it's a good movie but also pretty uneven overall. I definitely enjoy it more than MCC because MTI feels more like a muppet adaption of Treasure Island whereas Christmas Carol feels like a Christmas Carol adaptation featuring the muppets.
Hard to tell honestly, one thing that hindered MTI was that Frank Oz wasn't around much to perform his characters and his vocals were just looped in later. Pretty sure MCC didn't have that issue.
It's easily the best option there is. Disney+ is the fastest growing streaming service and has over 116 million subscribes. And from what I saw, Muppets Haunted Mansion got a solid amount of traction on social media, definitely more than Muppets Now. Hard to tell if it was a hit but I think it...
Where do you suggest they put Muppet projects then? Just about nobody is watching network or cable TV anymore, there's no way that putting them on broadcast will reach a wider audience.
For me personally, I don't want to be critical about it but there's nothing I can really do if it's just not clicking with me. I'm willing to give it another rewatch and hope to enjoy it more.
On another note, it's kinda interesting how this is the first time that Pat Sajak has appeared in a...
It was an alright special. I'm glad Gonzo was placed in the main role and not Kermit, mostly because I don't think I could tolerate Vogel's awkward, nasally performance of the character outside of small doses. It was sorely missing Rizzo in the sidekick role, almost like the special was written...
