Oh absolutely.
Actually that reminds me, last Autumn I was watching a late night benefit at The Trafalgar Studios Theatre in London, this particularly benefit featured various members of the company of the West End production of Mary Poppins, plus a "surprise special guest", the latter turned...
Well although it was about 25 years after the time of TMS itself, I would be inclind to include the BBC's documentary 'I Love The Muppets'. Just that one though, but none of the other more recent documentaries. That one was specifically focussed on TMS, and featured several members of the TMS 8.
Or anything that is major enough to count in this context.
You can check out her most recent work the following fansite: http://www.qsulis.demon.co.uk/Website_Louise_Gold/Start.htm
(From which you will find the usual mix of stage musicals, cabaret, and the odd TV appearance, if you happen...
Oh interesting, I'd read/heard about Marty Robinson, but didn't know that applied to Pam Arciero as well.
Havign a look at earlier threads on the subject as well as this one, lets try and start some proper lists:
Lefthanded but puppeteers righthanded:
Pam ArieroMarty Robinson...
I've just noticed that that wonderful mail order shop Anything Lefthanded, is currently asking members of it's lefthanders club to nominate a "Famous Lefthander of 2008".
They are asking people to choose to nominate High profile lefthanders who have achived greatness in their field in 2008...
Dame May Whitty appeared in STAGE DOOR CANTEEN with
ETHEL MEMAN.
ETHEL MERMAN guested on The Muppet Show and sang a duet with KERMIT THE FROG.
Next: um Hugh Jackman
Well that's covered six of The Muppet Show Eight,
but it still leaves us with the other two members of the Eight. So here goes:
Kathryn Mullen - works for an international Education charity called No Strings, see: http://www.nostrings.org.uk/
Louise Gold - usually to be found as a...
It's definately Frank Oz puppeteering Annie Sue on Carbon Paper. About six years ago (back in November 2002), someone brought this up on one of the Muppet forums (possibly here on Muppet Central, or maybe over on TP). Well by around the same time The Discovering Lost Musicals Charitable Trust...
Well I hadn't noticed, but now you mention it, good point. I think it's highly likely to have been intentionally. The Muppets have had a strong tendency to incorporate parallels into their work.
Occassionally this has been a bit unintentional as in the Nancy Walker episode of TMS. However...
Well in a way I guess mine has to have been at the age of five watching an item on Blue Peter about Dark Crystal. I didn't really underatand it at all at that time. But I got left with this vague memory of it. All I really remember about it was that it was an item about some film of other and...
Well my favourite is pretty much anything where Jerry and Louise got paired together (as the often have done in musical numbers) from Cowboy Jerry & Lou-The-Jugband-Lady on TMS to the toruist rats on Muppet Treasure Island. (including along the way pairings on The Secret Life Of Toys, and...
Here Here. Yes sure it may be a little geeky to be as throughly into it as some of us are. But what's wrong with that, if it's not causing any harm, and in fact on the contrary, it's reminding people of just what high quality entertainment TMS was. The fact that it really does endure and still...
In what Season of Seame Street, or in what year, was the sketch 'Mother Hubbard's Heist'? can anyone tell me?
I'm wondering because that's one of the ones I haven't got on my list of Louise's Sesamr credits (I know my little list probably has lots of gaps). So I'd really like to know more...
