Oliver! - Musical at Drury Lane (including Louise Gold)

Just been checking out the photographs on the Official site for the show: http://www.oliverthemusical.com/music_and_video/photos.php - In image "6 of 15" of Jodie and Ensemble singing 'Oom Pah Pah' you can find quite a nice shot of Louise (see if you can spot her).

Oliver! - Musical at Drury Lane (including Louise Gold)

I'm not sure how to get the thread on this subjectthat appears in another section moved. But I think it's really more appropriate to put it here. I've been making some amendments to my review of it, mainly to bring more detail to what a certain minor principal is doing as part of the...

Hilda - Any other huge fans?

True, but Louise Gold is also one of those really versatile voice-artistes, with quite a range, so she might have come up with a voice close to it, had she been given the opportunity. Or she might equally well have done something totally differnt. Sometimes her voices can be surprising.

A Muppeteer Quiz For You Guys

I thought it being Christmas I'd concoct a little quiz for you guys. I would have posted in the "Games" section, but for some reason I know not, I am not allowed to post there. So I've put it here (on the basis that it is a quiz about "Henson People", but if the forum moderators feel it should...

Who are your 3 favorite Sesame Street characters?

Gosh that is difficult. Well here's my current choice: Herry Monster - because he's so loveable. And such a perfect part for Jerry Nelson with his singing talents. Ethel Mermaid - Because she's one of the very few attempts at parodying Ethel Merman that I think actually works, also she...

    Favorite Anything Muppet Skits

Well top of my list is Anyone's Nose -sung by a pale blue AM (for a Monsterpiece Theatre skit). It's just the way I like to hear Cole Porter sung best. Tying for top place, I also got to include Herry Monster's duet with a Green AM with Orange Hair, named Louisey; "I Can Sing Anything...

Harmonies, for the (not so) Musically inclined

Well since it only involved one puppeteer I'm not sure if it's allowed to count on this thread, but what about 'Chanson De Amour' on TMS?

    List Of Muppet Hipsters

Well Floyd Pepper just has to be the hipped of the hip. He should be top the lists. One more I think you should consider for inclusion is Lou-The-Jugband-Lady, how about it?

    Top Ten "Lesser' Muppets

Great idea for a thread, welcome. Anyway, off the top of my head here's a list (admittedly my favourite puppeteer is probably going to feature alot, and then my second favourite seems to be in here a fair amount too) 1. Annie Sue Pig - I just HAVE to choose her. Great idea, and a wonderful...

    Who's your favorite Muppet?

Well from The Muppet Show, I've just got to pick Annie Sue. Of course she was specially designed for and performed by my favourite Muppeteer. But also I think there is something about her personality, I've got a feeling she may well have been partly based on one of my all time favourite...

    I needs a documentary!

Back in Janaury 2000, the BBC broadcast a wonderful documentary about film and TV puppetry, called 'The Wonderful World Of Puppets', Admittedly the focus was on British TV, although it does include Muppets and Creature Shop work. It has quite a lot of clips of puppeteers at work (including clips...

    Oliver! at Drury Lane

Yes I know this musical is in previews (it's got a month of them). So I won't say too much. But I saw it last Wednesday, and I have to say I was generally very impressed with it. Sometimes there is nothing quite like a professional production. Rowan Atkinson does well with Fagin. The...

"Sesame Street: Made in NY" Panel

I think that seems like a good idea. It's clear from some of the clips turning up on the official site that they MUST be noticing which clips are popular on Youtube. I can think of a few great clips that I've not yet found up, but which really deserve an airing. For instance, 'I Get A Kick...
