    Little things we've noticed

The poster is right; ITV's Midlands franchise (ATV) which produced the show aired the first and last series on Sunday nights.

    Wierd Things you don't get

IIRC, it's because he's afraid of dreaming about snakes.

Filming The Muppet Show Theme song

Actually, Chromakey has been around since the late 1960's. The process was certainly used during the Muppet Show years. A very good example is the Octopus's Garden number.

Filming The Muppet Show Theme song

It all depends on which section/s you mean; with regards to the arches, they were all taped separately and then matted together.

No, he's referring to salmonella poisining.

My Cast Listing of The Muppet Show

John Lovelady did the voice of Nigel in two episodes - Twiggy and Kaye Ballard. Henson did the voice in the Sex & Violence Pilot and the Connie Stevens episode.

    Question about The Muppet Movie

Blues/green screen is an electronic effect, and in the 1970's it was only ever used in TV studios.

    Did You Know...

The "Pigathius" line is simply part of the Pig's plan to make the Frog jealous and has nothing to do with her real name.

    Zoot's Color

Simply because the puppet was rebuilt with a different coloured face. In Season One of TMS, the puppet has a grey face; in season two it is changed to blue; the first half of season three the colour is light aqua colour and from Muppet Movie onwards the colour is green. For the Hit! endings it's...

YouTube: Never-Before-Seen Muppet Show Footage Surfaces

Very interesting footage; the opening of Episode 25 had also turned up on ATV's 1976 Christmas tape and I had always assumed that that was where the footage originated from. As for the footage not turning up on DVD, Disney may not have been aware of its existence.

    Miss Piggy's first name?

Pigathius is the name she gives to Avery Schreiber; that's quite clearly part of her plan to make Kermit jealous and can be dismissed. Piggy Lee is mentioned in the Jim Nabors episode and this is the closest we ever got to a real name.

    The Red Book

Considering that the Red Book is similar to a diary, I think there are very good reasons why it will never be (and should never be) printed.

    Does anyone remember...

If you saw it in the early 80's, then it might be the Brooke Shields episode of TMS where the cast sing "We're Off to See the Wizard".

    Noticed something about Zoot's closings

Louise Gold *was* credited for the second season episodes she did, albeit only in the domestic UK versions.

    Muppet Production Questions

In terms of TMS, it usually took a full week from pre-production to studio taping. Looking at the air dates compared to taping dates, I'd say there was approx. a four-month buffer.

    Little things we've noticed

Two members as Janice was not a proper member of the house band. A Beaker clone of her turns up in the closing credits of the Mac Davis episode.

    Did Rowlf sing Mahna Mahna?

Rowlf never performed the song on "The Muppet Show". It was only ever performed once, and that was in the Juliet Prowse episode.

The Muppet Show - Zoot Endings

The biggest difference is the picture quality of the UK version, which of course came from an off-air PAL source. It looks a lot better than the washed-out US version.

    Muppet Show Promo booklet

Not sure that this necessarily was produced when the fifth season was in production though. The pic of Roger Moore is *not* from his episode. Cher was originally slated to be a guest but at the last minute Debbie Harry took her place.

I wonder if it's the female Koozebanian.
