And (forgive me for asking this, but) do you have any idea what's happening here ...

The monologue had Will singing "On a Clear Day" and talking to the audience while wetting his pants (without realizing it until the end of the song). :smirk: At least they didn't have that awful sketch where he and Rachel Dratch play that clingy old couple.
He appeared with Kermit in a skit which was supposed to teach about body parts, I think (against a black screen). Does that ring a bell, GeeBee?
And yes, this icon  is Waldorf from The Muppet Show. ;)
The Count appeared at the end of the regular montage "Unnecessary Censorship." I understand they have that feature every Friday, and that characters from SS and Between the Lions are featured on it (probably from blooper reels).
I saw Neil Innes in concert in Nov. 2004
Neil Innes was in the Rutles
The Rutles were introduced to American audiences on SNL
The first season of SNL featured the (Land of Gorch) Muppets
Best PHYSICAL comedian, maybe. I've never really understood why people call him a genius. That somewhat changed when I recently saw the 1997 SNL episode he hosted. It was clear that he was on his way out - he always spoke in a roaring voice, and he milked each performance for all it was worth...
I don't think the crash was intentional; Jim probably played off it with his ad-lib. :D
This great skit is in episode #1141, which you can see at the Museum of TV & Radio. :)
Mr. Luckey visited my college last March (months before The Incredibles hit theaters). He showed us "Boundin" in all its stages - the animatic, rough animation, and the final version. I was happy to get this memento in my blank book ... :)
This is way in advance, but on Sunday, May 8, NBC's Classic SNL slot will contain the episode with this sketch:

Set your timers, people! :)
You must be thinking of Mew, the catnip mouse. He also appeared in the series, but with a different voice. But #4 in that image is definitely Bratty Rat.
