Probably about as much as they consider Luke Skywalker's, C-3P0's, R2-D2's and Chewbacca's appearances on The Muppet Show as canon!:) The sad thing is- technically, you have to take The Star Wars Holiday Special as canon!:D

I've got "A Magical Halloween Adventure" and it's definitely just a separate Sesame Street special- no inserts or anything...MUCH- though there are a few live action videos of kids picking the harvest on a farm and cutting pumpkins. You can view my review of it here on this thread...

Interesting observations about Kermit on Sesame Street! Kermit also sang "Get Along" in the outdoors- in a park area. I don't think his legs were shown though- at least not that I remember right off hand. What about "My Pollywog Ways", and "If I Were"?:)
