(I don't know if this will help clarify, but I am specifically addressing dwayne1115's question here. I am not looking to rehash points already made- just to clarify what I mean when I use certain terms regarding sexuality and what they mean to me- and what some others take them to mean. I do...
Sounds cool- I think you can find a lot of spiritual themes in movies. Although there is a balance between finding what truly is evidently there and just extrapolating beyond the scope of what the film is really meant to be - but then, as with all artistry, the interpretation really is in the...
Sounds like a nice tribute to Friday- as Loverboy said, everybody's working for the weekend!I'm not sure why anyone should be ashamed- Rebecca Black sounds fine- just like most all of the Disney singing stars (Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Bridgit Mendler, Ashley Tisdale, etc.) I really don't know...
I think the Sesame Street News Flash segment is more memorable to me- but the Monsterpiece Theatre sketch is great too. Okay- actually, I love all of the sketches in both of those series.:):insatiable:
Ironic as it may be to say this, well said, heralde.;)
(And just to clarify though- in this case, I am praising the intention and attitude behind your words- so though actions speak louder than words- I think both the words here and the action in saying them speak loudly and well.):)
Backatcha, man! Yes- another Fraggle Rock animated fan.:excited:
I actually thought that episode was pretty funny- but everyone's got their own taste on that of course.
They're both great fun songs. But I've definitely heard "Me Lost Me Cookie at the Disco" a lot lately it seems. "Cookie Monster Disco Song" is a great one too though (this is the "Shaft" parody, right?) - I remember that one being on Sesame Street a lot in the '80s.:insatiable::)
Yeah- I didn't really agree with everything in that article too. Just because some things are older doesn't mean they need to be thrown out for the newest technological marvel to come along. Some older things still work fine and work better. I'm just glad they at least said to keep books.:)
Okay- I just saw this and just had to say- Because you're a Christian, you DO have to be nice to people and you should. How else can you show them the love that Jesus commanded us to show ALL people- not just the ones you like or agree with? I agree than Ann Coulter gets quite acerbic in her...
The sad thing is- much as I absolutely despise their message of hatred (because there is certainly no love whatsoever being displayed through Westboro) - it's a very tricky thing to say they don't have the right to say it. Thankfully, most people understand that this group is a cult more so than...
I just saw this article on Yahoo and thought it was kinda related to the topic of this thread- http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Gadgets-You-Should-Get-Rid-Of-nytimes-1557697455.html?x=0
I notice they didn't mention anything about getting rid of your VCR, so I guess they're cool with hanging on...
One of my favorite movies! And that's a great scene from "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" - Ron Canada sure had a different presence here as a friendly and understanding cop than he did as the bad guy in "Adventures in Babysitting".:)
Nicely said, dwayne. The book of James talks a lot about this question. It makes quite clear that faith without works is dead. Basically- you can talk a good game, but if you don't have any good deeds to back it up, then your faith is worthless. Jesus did say in Matthew 7 that there would be...
Well, the statues all join to become the one alien in the movie at the end. And we get to see a flying saucer- but honestly, I didn't think it was that big of a deal. It was fine with me and it felt full of the action, adventure, humor and fun that makes all the other Indiana Jones movies. And...
But that goes directly against Scripture. Ephesians 2:8-9 makes it clear that salvation is a free gift from God, not of works, lest any man should boast.
The whole point of Jesus dying and rising was to provide salvation- He did all of the good works ever! We can't do enough good works to...
Yep- I saw that. I was hoping he might have continued his role as Alfred in "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight", but I guess it wasn't to be. He did a great job in the Burton and Schumacher films though. May God comfort his family during this sad time.:(
Speaking as a comic book fan (and particularly DC/Marvel superhero fan, amongst others)- I'm at least fairly familiar with all of those- The Tick, Usagi Yojimbo and Groo the Wanderer- all of them would make pretty cool movies! At least there's been a cartoon and live action version of The Tick...
