    Polar fleece

I see, so this is primarily for any puppet used for shows and TV and such that you're talking about. What about one for personal usage, what is the average life span of a "family" puppet?

    Polar fleece

I'm still kind of confused with the wear and tear? Do you mean they just get dirty, or do they start to fall apart after a while.......... Thanks,

Now this has gone TOO far

Absolutely 100% with you! We've evidently become a society that cannot think for ourselves whatsoever without the help of someone else getting in our business. Everything else wrong in this world and their major concern is Happy Meal toys?

Quick question on the mouth plates......

If you go to Lowes' website and look under "Red Rubber" it comes up, I bought some last night at the one by my house. It's small sheets about 6" by 6", with widths of 1/8 or 3/16, but just right for a sock puppet style mouth.....

What would be your "Ultimate Poser?"

I'd actually love to see an Elmo or Herry Monster...

What would be your "Ultimate Poser?"

You could use the extra skins and turn them into puppets! What do you think the chances would be of them ever releasing actual "muppets" instead of posers?

    Polar fleece

If you're making puppets for heavy use and want to use a more affordable fabric (as you'll be rebuilding frequently), polar fleece is a good way to go. What is considered "Heavy Use"? How much actual usage can you expect from a puppet, do you find you have to rebuild them alot?

Quick question on the mouth plates......

[It's not really a good idea to make one palette and fold it... it's better to have two palettes - a top and a bottom, and when you fabricate it, let the fabric serve as the crease. Sorry, my mistake, when I said fold it I meant I was experimenting with "frown' faces, not folding it as a one...

Quick question on the mouth plates......

I was even considering some of the $9.00 car mats from Walmart or K-Mart...........

Quick question on the mouth plates......

HaHa, I know, everything is going "green"! I'm going to check Lowes tonight I think, I was also thinking of trying to use the vinyl edging that you can get for the yard. I was fixing the one I have around a tree and noticed how thin and bendible it was, plus it didn't seem to pinch or crease...

Quick question on the mouth plates......

After your suggestion (thanks for that) I check with my cousin who owns a garage, and I struck out, they now make the gaskets with corkboard and paper. But I did look online since then and found something called "Red Rubber" packing sheets at Lowes online which sound VERY similar. They come in...

Quick question on the mouth plates......

With soft palattes, or even in a larger puppet, do you recommend stitching the mouth to the edges of the fleece (if that's even possible) or are they glued? Did that make sense?

Have you ever used Walmart's "Full Fleece"? I'm new at this, so I apologize for my stupidity, but I hear everyone talk about the Antron Fleece and wonder why is it so much better?
