Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Actually, I've got to agree with you partially. Quoth Robin Williams:
"Canada is like a loft over a really great party. You know, 'Hey, ya wanna keep it quiet down there? Some of us are tryin' to sleep!"
Traveling Wilburys' "The Devil's Been Busy". I'm lucky enough to have a Russian (!) bootleg of their two albums I picked up at a local used record store.
Dry heat always seemed to be better (for me, at least). You can escape dry heat by drinking water or ducking into an air conditioned building. But with humidity, stepping out of an ACd building will be like walking into a wall of heat.
I apologize in advance for this, but I cannot picture Richard Dean Anderson as anyone but MacGyver. I know mullets are ugly, but you can't beat a guy who disarms nuclear missiles with paperclips (he's done that!).
Personally, my favorite is the severely underrated Molly Moon series. I do not read a lot of "kids' books" so to speak, mostly I'm into music history books and comics. Sci-fi to a degree, but not quite as much as the other two.
In response to Vic's factoid about the number of Kermits made: You're right. With MFS at least, there were fifteen Piggy heads made. (I have the making-of-MFS book, don't know about you.)
I suppose you couldn't call me Sam the Canadian Eagle, inasmuch as I do not like Canada a whole lot. (My French is nothing spectacular, so...)
Oh, about the Chretien jokes: Don't worry, Larry the Cable Guy makes jokes a lot worse than that a lot of the time. ("HAHA! I dun' care who y'are...
I am one of the five or so people in the universe that is not that excited about the new book. I read REALLY fast and I like fantasy, but Potter has never appealed to me. I don't know why...
Whoops, I forgot to add something to my now uneditable post:
"Happy birthday, you crazy old geezer..." -The Arrogant Worms (a friend's favorite birthday song)
Actually, I just realized that Paul Martin couldn't be bothered by us fools at the 3976 1/2 (or whatever the number is), so we'd get Jean Chretien with that facial tic. "Allo, allo! Howe are you today, ah?"
