New Members: Please Post and Introduce Yourself

I was faking it then. I had a notion in my head that I really shouldn't give out my real name, due to the freaks over at the IMDb. So, I used Joe. Now I've realized that I'm comfortable enough here to give out my real name. Anyway, I've always wanted to switch my first name to Bill.

Bloody well it is. I must admit that I used to download music illegally, but I stopped when a virus killed my Internet.

Big Bird banned on a roof

I just read the article and all the comments here, and I can't help but think of a Jay Leno joke from about three months ago. "Martha Stewart may be in trouble again. Officials today may have to increase security, as it is believed that she has broken her house-arrest charge by attending a...

    Time for a change

And won't you believe that I just found that out, lol! I was always a little confused as to why you were D'Snowth here, and Courage-Bagge everywhere else. Of course, through the miracle of the MC Search Engine, entering the right terms will let you see your original member name. Unfortunately, I...

    What's your favorite letter segment?

I had a sheet on that in my math binder from real early on in the year. However, I took great glee in burning my school notes there about a month ago. :)

    International Englishes

Here in Canada, we've got about five dialects. There's Newfunese, which really is a language all by itself, inasmuch as there's words in Newfoundland you don't here anywhere else. There's Maritime, which is like a combination of proper English, sea language, Scottish words and unique phrases. I...

    Song Help!

I just ran a CDDB search on the song, and it pulled up a disc by the name Lisa gave, recorded by "Marlo Thomas and Friends". Yes, you heard me correctly: Ann Marie, from That Girl, recorded a song with Kermit the Frog.

"Choppy" sounds real cool, if you're going to change, I would go with that one.

How's the weather where you are?

Weather: It started out nicely, but now it's real windy and the blind next to me is flapping real hard. On the plus side, it was quite cool here today. Breakfast: Tea biscuit, chocolate chip cookie, iced tea Lunch: Wontons, Diet Coke Supper: Taquitos

    International Englishes

I suppose it could be worse. My idea of a British stereotype makes me think that they all say "youse". As in, "Are youse two taking the bus, or walking?" In reality, however, I often say "youse" in that sense, and say it a LOT more than the British people I know. :)

    Note to mikebennidict

Well said, fuzzygobo. I love peacemakers. I have to agree with most of what has been said. Mike, you've said things that could be taken as nasty to me and others many times. Often, you seem hostile and angry. If you've got some problems in life, I'd be happy to help you out. But if nothing's...

    Downloading episodes

Don't even bother illegally downloading stuff. I would just search out Time-Life discs and wait for Disney releases of the TMS stuff, and wait for more HIT releases of FR stuff. However, if you do download stuff, I've tried Limewire and found it to be a decent program. So I would go with that...

Yep, I'll be dead as soon as he sees a Jean Chretien joke, and you'll be out as soon as you laugh. So, should I not make the jokes, or should I just keep it up and not care what he says?
